If Counterpart doesn't live past season two

I have some bad news for you...

I thought Get Shorty was a Netflix original. I binged it on Netflix anyway - really good show!

Crap. Tim Goodman is the reason I eagerly anticipated Breaking Bad from before the first episode. Been a while since I've heard/read anything from him. And now I have to figure out how to get those channels, I guess.

Fark, once again, proves to be more expensive than one would guess!

It's canceled on Starz, but still being shopped around to other networks right now.

I first heard about Counterpart from someone here on Fark.  Spot On.

Also learned about Detectorists.

Starz has been doing original programming for a while. Spartacus, Ash vs. Evil Dead, Outlander, Black Sails and more. Lots of boobies on most of them.

Twin Cities, the episode of Counterpart from a couple of weeks ago, was the single best episode of television I've seen in the past year.

Party Down was the first Starz original show that I really liked.

A ton of comic actors that later broke out as stars had an early run on that show.

Upside: Mr Mercedes on Audience network. Downside: having to subscribe to AT&T

I loved Boss on Starz back in the day.  It got cancelled way too early.  Kelsey Grammer was great as Mayor Tom Kane.

Watching The Unbrella Academy on Netflix, and really find it to be interesting and well done.

Seconded.

It's based on Dark Horse comics, so Disney won't be able to yank it away.

Outlander? Guuggchh. What a wretched show. Caitriona Balfe is hot af, but her character is a terrible person.

Every episode rocks.  JK Simmons needs to be honored for his portrayal of both Howards.

Thirded. Only an episode and a half in so far, but I'm enjoying it. I hope the characters get more development, though. The only two I find very interesting so far are 4 and 5 (Klaus and the kid).

The scene of all of them dancing to Tiffany made me smile.

Most had their first run in Veronica Mars, and had some return to iZombie. Rob Thomas likes to bring people back

I'm not really sure what's going on in this thread, but I highly recommend everyone watch Schitt's Creek on pop. Seasons 1-4 are on netflix.

I've heard (from my wife) that the first season is garbage, but it gets much, much better.

Just heard about show from the MAIN tab.
Something about a black guy who almost gets lynched in Chicago and the Chicago PD try to figure out what's going on.
It sure seems like a real "WHO DONE IT?" If you like that kind of thing.
I heard the theme song and it's pretty catchy too.  Can't stop humming it..
Five Eight Eight, Two Three Hundred, EMPIRE!

It's entertaining, but kinda diet decaf mango flavored Watchmen.

Cinemax had a show called 'Banshee' some years back that was sort of a sleeper but damn, that show was awesome.  It was sort of neo-noir set in a small rural town.  All the characters were completely over the top and the levels of sex and violence were turned up to 11.  I know Netflix had it for awhile but I don't think it's there any more.  I'm not sure where one would find it know but I would highly recommend it.

The fight between Nola and Burton was like something out of Mortal Kombat. I almost shouted "FATALITY!" at the end.

That was one I was meaning to try out when I got a Prime sub over the holidays. In the end their original stuff grabbed me enough that I never got to it. I've heard great things about the fight scenes.

Great series. I happened upon it by accident, and everyone I recommended it to is addicted now. The characters are brilliant. Series 5 is coming at the end of the year, I think.

I get Starz with my Uverse package so I've seen all of Counterpart.  I think they lost the flic and painted themselves into a corner with this 2nd season wrap up, so it deserves a quiet end.

I added Epix for $10 a month just to watch Get Shorty which has been outstanding.  Ray Romano kicks azz in it.  I dropped Epix to save the unreasonable cost, but I'll look forward to watching more Get Shorty on Netflix...I hope.

Hah, it's true!  All the characters are bad asses and love to fight.  A couple of my buddies were raving about the first John Wick movie when it came out.  I was in the middle of Banshee at the time and found John Wick to be a bit underwhelming by comparison.

Season 5 is currently airing. I DVR it each week. It is still so much fun.

Unfortunately it's not here in Europe yet. Good to hear it hasn't lost the magic

I caught it on a New Years marathon on Cinemax several years ago. Holy cow was it full of sex,  violence, and Amish.
