If he would have just signed the damn application, none of this would have happened.

You don't steal something like this without a preexisting client.

See this season's most exciting new show "Green Thumb Ninjas!"

I think I know that tree.

Seriously I have 40 Bonsai under the snow here (they like it there).
They are older than my kids.

That's 35 years old, I can't imagine 400.  (yes I can)

That tree is famous enough to trip up anyone trying to sell or keep it.

\If that tree dies, I will be really pissed.
\\I have a special set of skills
\\And I will find them

Lab Monkey: Tree babies?

I can't believe that this is what one of the great comic book monsters has descended to.

He's been Disneyfied!

His head looks like a coconut carved by a lonely old toymaker, or possibly a very lonely sailor who missed the ship's Cabin Boy.

Cute, though, even without a nose. You think he would have a little nose, possibly with a little leaf on it.

Then again, trees don't breathe, so why would one need a nose? That's what the leaves are for.

To be fair, that's after he was regrown and is in Baby Groot stage. He's aged up by the time Infinity War happens.

how do they judge them in a contest? Doesn't it help the older they are? Just by the shape and size--like how does it look artistically, as well as its age?

I heard a story about this today and this is a crazy hobby. I really couldn't believe that those are just regular trees that have been miniaturized by lots of care. I thought they were just small trees that the Japanese loved.

That would be his other nose.

As a bonsai enthusiast and somewhat frequent visitor to various growers, festivals, arboretum, and the like, here are some pictures of the real deal (much like the amazing specimen in the article, which I have never seen and which is most definitely not currently on my porch awaiting the buyer to pay up).

This last one is over 500 years old. Reportedly worth over a million bucks.
