Ahh...beef jerky and beer.  When you absolutely need a bowel movement that clears the farking house out.

Is there such a thing as decent store-bought jerky?  Any recommendations?

I dunno... I'm not a big jerky fan, but it seems like a nice Rhone would pair nicely.

A perfect combo when lighting the old (gas soaked) xmas tree ablaze.
'Hold mah beer - & jerky!'

A chocolate beer -- to intertwine the salted meat -- for that salted caramel rush.

I was thinking Burgundy. Something a little in the musty/barnyard side.

Real, authentic beef jerky?  As in, not Slim Jims?

Petite Syrah or Grenache.

Seems like it would be an odd-ball combo, but I'm willing to try it.

As the label says, he test drives all the meat, so you know it's young and tender.

Anyone who is a jerky expert knows the only correct answer is ice cold Coke. A lot of it.

If you go with wine, it definitely has to be a dry red.

I'd personally go with either a dark, roasty beer to compliment the salt of the jerky, or a beer with enough flavor to match the jerky, like an ipa or barley wine.

I'm not picky. Any type of beer or any type of wine would be just fine

If itbis regular beef jerky, I would think a white merlot or a Cabernet.

A Bartles and James. They still sell those right? I'm a bit behind the times.
