And that's not just some crazy bluster from an obscure member of the opposition party. Ms. Maxine is now the Chairman of the House Finance Committee. She's the one who's gonna subpoena the IRS for Trump's tax records since forever. And she has no qualms about leaking shiat to the press, the same as the asshole Republicans before her did to f*ck Hillary and Obama.

You go, girl!

Ruh-roh...

Yeah...Donnie thought that Democrats were Obstructionists before they got a House majority, now he gets to see when the opposition can actually bring consequences...

Poor Donnie. All he wanted was a new TV station, and to have that catalog of new brides when he shuffled #3 off to where ever they put trophy wives out to pasture--I think it's Ibiza, but I could be mistaken, not having retired any gold-diggers myself--and instead, he got his first real job in his 70s...

Donnie stands as a testament to why you don't hobble your kids by making their lives too easy...

Leaking shiat to the press?

That is not who Maxine Waters is.

That girl will read his taxes outloud from the floor of the good damned Congress.

It's clear to many that Trump is working with Putin to destabilize the country on every possible front--the shutdown is also part of that strategy--so this sort of rhetoric is needed right now. Many more will be beating this drum in the coming weeks.

What, you think we voted in this Dem blue wave just to sit back and be nice, lol. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm tired of glad-handing with the likes of Newt Gingrich and his crew of scum bags who tried to take down a president. All that got us is an empowered Fox News propaganda machine and the Tea Party and Donald Trump.

Expose these corrupt, treasonous motherf*ckers for what they are, put them all in prison regardless of what the illiterate, anti-intellectual morons want. They support our #1 global enemy. How the fark do you justify that? They should be strung up on gallows in front of the Capitol in my opinion.

If the high road worked, we wouldn't be in this mess.

We have been in a cold civil war for years now and it's time to seize the advantage.  These farks simply do not care about decorum, rule of law, our institutions...so I really don't give two shiats what incendiary or childish language is used.  Any and every outrage on the part of the right about ANYTHING now is pure, weapons-grade hypocrisy and if this is the kind of messaging that gets through to the millions of dimwits who have supported the Manchurian Hairpiece, so be it.

And fwiw, I don't see Trump relenting on the wall thing, so he will just keep it shutdown, and major systems including aviation, border patrol and ICE, federal law enforcement, etc. etc. could erode until it's non-functioning, and the economy could grind to a halt.

Maybe not. In a best case scenario, States will step in to fund federal systems using their own cash reserves (if they can afford it as a stopgap, so that may keep some things going for awhile longer.

One thing will happen sooner than later--the country's credit rating will be downgraded again.

It isn't so much taking the high road than being strategic. Pelosi has signaled she doesn't want impeachment talks yet. It makes better sense to wait for Mueller. Waving a red cape at him right now won't help. There will be plenty of time for that later after the smoking gun/s come out and the ads have no good excuse to keep supporting him.

By all means.

Let's keep treating the traitors with the most delicately soft kid gloves and the most tenderhearted courtesy so that they can continue to gleefully sh*t all over everything left of this country that's still worth defending.

Why, we can just hand all the poor Americans and disabled Americans and brown Americans and gay Americans right over to them in railcars right now just to assure the traitors of our ever so lofty regard of their precious, valuable ideas on the genocide of the defenseless.

Waving a red cape at him right now won't help. There will be plenty of time for that later after the smoking gun/s come out and the ads have no good excuse to keep supporting him.

The public also needs to start getting used to impeachment as an option before the report comes out.

Otherwise it'll be ignored and pushed out of the news quickly by some Trump bullshiat and people will continue to claim we have to wait untill "the smoking gun/s come out and the [R's] have no good excuse to keep supporting him."

Because there will be little new information in the report. It'll only be conformation what we already know. So if Democrats will only start speaking about impeachment then, nobody is going to take it seriously because then we all knew it all this time and nobody important seemed to think it worth talking raising impeachment...

Now it'll might also look political to jump the gun, before there is credible information, but there is now a shiat-ton of credible information, and ever more people should be appropriately reacting to that. And for what we already know, due to the overwhelming  amount of smoking guns that we do have, that the appropriate reaction for more and more politicians is to plan for the possible impeachment of the president for his known high crimes and misdemeanors.

And while the impeachment procedure itself should only start after the official investigation is concluded, there will be no impeachment procedure if we don't start preparing the public now, that if the report even confirms one tenth of what we already know impeachment is the only reasonable course of action.

I understand the leaderships actions in trying to tamper it down because they want to make sure that people know it's not something they want to do, but are forced to do. So they're right to try and tamper talks down to show they'd rather be in a different situation, but their members are ever more justified in ignoring that, showing the public that the leadership stance is becoming slowly untenable and that impeachment is the only option.

And all the members of congress need to make that clear in their own authentic ways. For some it'll be long winded screeds like mine, for Maxine Waters it's this tweet.

So your ridiculous comment about both sides sinking to the same level not only shows a perplexing lack of perspective by declaring eggshell and anthracite as both shades of grey and therefore the same, it also shows that you're completely out of touch of what's happening and what needs to happen by declaring impeachment is just to darn impolite to be talked about in any other way then your approved "lets ignore it for now" talking point.

I'm sure that you think impeachment will be a likely possiblity , but just quibbling about the "proper" timing of starting to mention it as a possibility. Voters can smell that hypocrisy.

It's part of leadership responsibilities to be shown cautious and have an abundance of reserve, the rank and file have a responsibility to be frank and forthright. But the public, like you and me in this case shouldn't even talk about "timing" and "strategizing" let alone admonish members of congress for saying what we know is right.

Leadership needs people like Maxine Waters say these things, because the reality is that leadership should be forced to latch on to a groundswell, holding out as long as they can, not trying to start one themselves at the last moment. It should have momentum and people aware and energized before the mueller report comes out, because otherwise it'll be too late and the republican senators will not face enough pressure to do the right thing and wait it all out, rewarding  rampant and blatant corruption and criminality by the president and empowering the incompetent fraud in that office.

I wish I were as optimistic as all of you farker's about the upcoming committee investigative meetings. After watching Elijah Cummings, who is a hero of mine, on 60 Minutes last night I am nowhere near as optimistic. It sounds like they will subpoena all kinds of stuff, and get stonewalled, and it will end up in the courts, which Trump has packed. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, and these investigative committee meetings have the desired effect, but I am just so cynical right now it is hard to be optimistic.
