If the Gang of 8 had all been briefed almost two years ago that the FBI was investigating whether Trump is a Russian agent, what does that say about the behavior of Devin Nunes, who is part of that group?

It'd look like he puts loyalty to Trump over loyalty to the United States. https://t.co/6x8n4vdO4T

It takes more than words to explain Devin Nunes behavior.

Turtle by his actions is guilty of impeachable offenses. McConnell blocked the release of information on Russia working with Donnie prior to the election and has been acting as a Russian shill by protecting Donnie.

Good question.

Six months ago, @RepAdamSchiff and I tried to subpoena the interpreter from the Trump-Putin meeting. The GOP blocked us. We knew then something was fishy. We now know Trump took the notes. Lost time and more damage to our democracy is the cost of GOP obstruction. https://t.co/o6eSXeb6vf

I was somewhat confused about whom exactly this "Gang of Eight" is because I had always understood it to be comprised of eight bi-partisan members of the Senate. Turns out it is both bi-partisan and bi-cameral:

Under the "gang of eight" system, the executive branch of the United States discloses highly sensitive intelligence information to the following positions within the US congress:

United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence:
Adam Schiff (D, CA-28), Chair
Devin Nunes (R, CA-22), Ranking member

United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence:
Richard Burr (R, NC), Chair
Mark Warner (D, VA), Vice Chair

Leadership in the United States House of Representatives:
Nancy Pelosi (D, CA-12), Speaker of the House
Kevin Owen McCarthy (R, CA-23), Minority leader

Leadership in the United States Senate:
Mitch McConnell (R, KY), Majority leader
Chuck Schumer (D, NY), Minority leader

Thanks for the opportunity to school myself before saying something dumb, subby.

There is a single line, although fictionalized, in the Deep Throat movie Mark Felt: The man who brought down a White House which crystallizes the historical role of the FBI and their law enforcement independence during Nixon's Saturday Night Massacre:

Nothing, but nothing, can stop the driving force of an FBI investigation

We all desperately need this to be true today.

The former law professor knew that every i had to be dotted and every t crossed to prove to an undeniable level that this treason occurred and was wholly embraced by a corrupt and craven GOP.

Can you imagine having to live with the knowledge he was given early on about the people that have gone on to nearly destroy this country and having to hold his tongue and not rise to the bait of devolving it into a pissing match (pun not intended)?

Again, this is why I don't mind a deal for Trump's wall. Give him money for his dumb wall so the Dems can turn their focus to destroying every last one of them. I'd like to see Trump and McConnell actually try to get a foot of that wall built when Nancy Pelosi rips off their balls before shoving them into a maximum security prison for traitors. Let's see how those treason weasels do when they have to stare at the concrete walls of a prison cell.

The Dems can spin it as needing to move on because of these recent national security revelations so it looks like a win even though they're giving up the wall.

Trump is going to get indicted, impeached or get an impacted colon and run out of office in disgrace.  I do not want to see "let bygones be bygones" and "we're moving ahead for the American people."  I want this entire 2 years of real time, 200 years of setback time hung on the GOP in the next 3 elections.

Did he decline to comment or was it the very definition of the suspiciously specific denial?

"Senator, what do you know about Trump's collusion?"
"Well, that's what the investigation is about, and as to what I or these other senators might have or not have been told by the FBI I can't comment to."

Basically, was the gang of 8 mentioned first or did he bring it up himself to deny it?

We might as well have. Clinton's 3 million vote lead isn't very impressive when you realize that that's just over 1% of eligible voters. The vast majority of this country deserves Trump.

This is bigger than one person. The levels of complicity/collusion/treason has got to be deep. Not only politicians but organizations and "news" outlets. Also, don't forget our own special gang of 8 that visited Moscow on July 4th.

Then you have Butina and who knows how many republican connections went through her. And there is Lindsey Graham. The Russians must have video of him being bottomed hard. Turtle Boy. What's his angle in protecting 45*? Dead girl live boy? Then SCOTUS Kennedy suddenly resigns.

Too much power has been allowed to accumulate in the hands of a few. This may help unravel some of it so we can perhaps install a government truly representative of the people.

We will see.

killershark: Again, this is why I don't mind a deal for Trump's wall.

No. Not one Farking dime to a blackmailer. It will show weakness and he'll be back for more next time.

hammettman: Trump is going to get indicted, impeached or get an impacted colon and run out of office in disgrace.  I do not want to see "let bygones be bygones" and "we're moving ahead for the American people."  I want this entire 2 years of real time, 200 years of setback time hung on the GOP in the next 3 elections.

And severe legal/social consequences for GOP voters. We should start a registry before they all start deleting their social media derp.

I just want Beto or Biden to cut a commercial directed straight at Putin. Something along the lines of: "Congratulations on installing this farking idiot as our President. In 2020 we're gonna settle up."
