This goddamn bullshiat is why I cancelled my HBO subscription. I never really loved GoT and never really hated it. But these antics are a huge "fark you, we will milk you dry" to the fan experience.

/Unfortunately, I'm a huge "Barry" and "Last Week Tonight" fan. So I am sadly conflicted with my decision.

I wonder if I can dodge spoilers for a couple months so I can binge it.

Probably have to go off the grid for that one.

You should play it safe and spend those months isolated with someone who has no clue what is going on with the plot, like GRRM for example.

What the hell are you clutching your pearls? The show is in the can. It's premiering in April. HBO is finally ready to announce the date the first episode will air.

Then why not just announce it?  Why drag out this idiotic "we will announce the date that we will announce the release"  nonsense?  We already know it's not going to be April 28, as that's the premiere weekend for Avengers Endgame.   Probably won't be April 14 because last minute idiots will still be filling out their taxes.  Is it really that important to build suspense for a release date?

And the website How Many Days Until...? already lists the GoT premiere as April 21.  https://days.to/

HBO is in the entertainment business. This is called marketing. And they're using the announcement to boost interest in True Detective Season 3.

Really? You guys are getting this bent out of shape over something so trivial? Who cares when and how they announce the release date? I really don't understand the outrage.

They have a search feature in the top right corner. I asked about 'The Apocalypse' & got this response:

"If you don't see the event that you are looking for, please suggest your event to us".

Pretty funny.
