Knew a guy who did that a long time ago.

He had a blast.

He was also a little nuts.

Neither helped get him laid.

I knew a guy that did that.  He became Speaker Of The House and used his power to effectively surrender America to the Russians.

Some woman on my neighborhood's Facebook group posted a picture of her third grader's math homework complaining about how it's too advanced for third graders and fark Common Core, etc.

I bet driving the Weinermobile will be a stretch goal for her kid.

Do it now kid, before they replace the human driver with a self-driving weiner.

Self-driving weiner
Self-driving wiener
Self-driving weener

In and out before Zippy the Pinhead. Got the spelling thing covered, too.

Back in the stone ages, my Dad was an executive with a medium sized soda company. He sponsored a block party at which one of the first Wiener Mobiles catered (as part of a cross-promotional campaign). I was cleaning out a closet at my sister's after she passed and found one of the whistles they left behind.

/ Sniff.

Might get you into Harvard. They are always looking for novelty and this would definitely make you a statistical outlier. If not a just plain liar.

We stop and take pics every time I find the Weinermobile here in town. I love that thing and I'd totally kill to get to drive it for a year. It would be a blast. They require their people to actually be competent. Hell, you have to be more vetted to drive the Weinermobile than to be POTUS, they want a college degree and shiat like that.

I'd totally do that for free for a few weeks maybe until the novelty wore off. Chick magnet

Last year I drove past the Wienermobile parked in strip mall parking lot. I actually did have a ton of errands to run, so that afternoon I kept saying to myself,"I'll go a little later. I'll go a little later." And then when I got there, I was told by a guy in that parking lot that it had just left. And when I asked him if it would ever come back again, he said he didn't know.

It's been a long time since we have had a good, "I don't know how to do third grade math so Common Core is bad" thread. I miss those.  It was a good way to find out who the really stupid people were.

Seriously? Are people not teaching their third grade children to do second grade math?

At least, I remember my school teaching multiplication in second grade, even though I'd already figured it out by then. Are kids in the rest of the country assumed to be slow?

When I was in school they were in town interviewing graduating marketing majors for the job.  I think they were trying to get 20 drivers.

I'd imagine it would open up future career opportunities if you played your cards right.

Last time I saw the Wienermobile they had an easel with an picture gallery outside. After a moment I noticed a theme - the Wienermobile and the Washington Monument, the Wienermobile with a blimp, the Wienermobile entering tunnels...

I used to work next door to where they would train new drivers.  They'd set up in the parking lot of a tech school and practice for a week.

What's that?  Pics or it didn't happen?   Well, glad you asked.

Dave Barry on driving the Weinermobile:

https://www.miamiherald.com/living/liv-columns-blogs/dave-barry/article1934773.html

"My Wienermobile was under the command of Tina Miller and Shannon Valrie, who have managed to remain both peppy and perky despite having spent nine months hearing the hilariously clever suggestive remarks that men everywhere feel compelled to yell at young women who are driving around in a giant wiener. (NOTE TO THESE MEN: If you think YOU'RE clever, you should hear what gets said about YOU, inside the Wienermobile.) After a thorough training lecture ("Here's the Wienermobile"), Tina and Shannon let me take the wheel."

It does. My niece was a Hotdogger a few years ago. OM asked her to stay on and supervise the Weinermobiles which she did for 5 years until OM moved from Madison to Chicago. Since Hotdogger was on her CV she was brought in to interview every job she applied for. She now has a great career with the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board promoting Wisconsin cheese all over the country.

Her Hotdogger name was "Rachel Relish"

I saw that, or a similar banana vehicle, on the road last month in Santa Monica, CA. At the time, I pointed it out to the bus driver, who didn't even bat an eyelash. I keep forgetting weird things like that are not unexpected in the Los Angeles area. I saw the Wienermobile nearby a few years ago, too.
