Trump supporters don't care. Space objects have a well documented liberal bias.

Every Trump supporter.

Your first point is true, but it just keeps chugging along, and humanity is better for it.

The same Trump-backing idiots who only manage to keep their shoes on their feet through the miracle of Velcro consider scientific curiosity and inquiry to be a waste of tax dollars that would be better used torturing people who have "too much" melanin in their skin.

This only matters to people who aren't already republicans. In other words, people who don't choose to be utter morons.

I don't know.  Sometimes, you turn around for just a couple hours and they aren't there.

"Smart" this post if you think the Democrats should give Trump the money for the wall and end the shutdown, (even though you may not like the idea of the wall) because it's better than the current situation.

If its going to fall out of orbit anyway can we somehow help aim it towards a certain private golf club in Florida?

If Trump supporters could ever muster the intellectual curiosity to look up at the sky for the sake of seeing what's there, they wouldn't be stupid enough to support Trump.

Smart this post if you think Trump should follow up on his campaign promise of getting Mexico to pay for it.

I will bet you the entirety of my bank account and in the case that we give him the money, there is a comprehensive wall built and it is found to be effective, you win.

Otherwise you have to walk from Arizona to Honduras and plead asylum.

It worked so well for France.

It's an easy decision for Mexico: make a one-time payment of $5-10 billion to ensure that $24 billion continues to flow into their country year after year. There are several ways to compel Mexico to pay for the wall including the following:

How is it acceptable to hold the entire country AND our irreplaceable spaceflight assets hostage for something that Donald DEMANDED someone else pay for?

Do you know what hostage taking is?

It's a crime.

Sometimes it's terrorism.

Unfortunately, mankind no longer has a spacecraft capable of reaching Hubble and carrying out repairs

This is so sad. Anyone know what sort of capability is required and if there's something in the works? I'm guessing it was meant to be serviced by the shuttle?

This may be the wrong thread...and I'm not even American. Seriously though, is this not just a cluster fark?
I think I read previously; funding (or approval) for DACA, and Billions for border security. No money for a "wall". Problem solved.  Bi-partisan or not, that just seems like a good idea.
Beef up security, beef up security for those who were kids, fix immigration procedure/policy. Why the fixation on a wall that mostly won't work, will cost billions (that 35B won't be...it'll be 100 after overruns, etc(if your lucky)).
It's not rocket science. Really. Whatever side of the aisle (or anywhere in the building) your on. I just can't understand how this nonsense is an issue.  It will never, ever get built. It just won't.
Emminent domain issues, court battles, etc.
It's a fight of attrition on the road to failure.

Time to go start a GoFundMe to keep Hubble going.

We never pay any-one Dane-geld, No matter how trifling the cost; For the end of that game is oppression and shame, And the nation that pays it is lost!
