"No, I couldn't possibly sing with Led Zeppelin after Bonham's death. It wouldn't be right."

(spends next four decades singing Led Zeppelin songs with other bands)

dickfreckle: I'll take another album with Alison Krauss, please.

I saw Plant tour with Alison Krauss. After seeing the show I became convinced he would never do a full tour with Zeppelin again unless he was seriously desperate for money.
He had no idea where he was (can't blame him for that, it was the middle of nowhere) but I've never seen an artist enjoy themselves as much as he did.  When Krauss and the Tbone Burnett did a few solo songs, he did not go back stage, he just went behind some speakers where most of the auidence could not see him and he just enjoyed the music. He sang backup harmonies on one song and was just glowing.
Except for money, why would he ever want to give up singing what he wants, when he wants, with who he wants. And let's be honest, he's going to make bank on any tour he does. At his age, sure beats being an employee of Led Zeppelin, Inc. Unlike Page, I don't think he feels he has anything to prove with a Zep tour.

Ahh, Sea of Love. Slow skated with my best friend's older sister to that one back in the day. The sixth-grade crush I had on her ...

I would go see that show.  Haters gonna hate but I enjoyed that EP.

I HATED them when they first came out. I wanted more Zeppelin and this was about as far from Zeppelin as you could get.

35 years later I gotta admit it's a pretty solid bit of pre British Invasion rock and roll.

/I'd also welcome another album with Alison Krauss

yes Please.

I enjoyed his last album. The tour was a lot of fun as well.

Robert Plant will never do Zeppelin again.
Probably hates Jimmy Page or something.
It's gotta be something serious cause the amount of money they would make would be astounding and probably break revenue records. So there's gotta be some REAL bad blood to leave millions on the table.

I have wondered if it because Plant can't hit the notes like he used to, so instead of going out and making a sad spectacle of Led Zeppelin, he moved on to other things.

If that is the reason, I respect him.

Still bummed.

They like eachother just fine. Page and Plant toured an album together in the 90s.

Plant has said many times it doesnt interest him. They dont need any $$. And probably never will

Having said all that. The big rumor thats been bandied about for several months is that indeed Led Zeppelin will play Watkins Glenn NY for the 50th Woodstock celebration.

The show they did a few years back Plant, Page Jones and Jason Bonham at the O2 arena was pretty good

Plant cant hit those high notes but he knows how to get it done. And the few times I have seen him, the re-arranged zeppelin tunes are pretty cool.

Big Log is a favorite song.

Plant told Jason Bonham that Zeppelin to him ended when John died. Let Robert do his own thing. I've enjoyed most of his solo career.
One of the coolest things Robert did was perform 29 Palms as it was done on a Plant tribute CD in the mid 2000s.

It's called "death of Bonham".  For some people, friends, close friends, really mean something.

Maybe Page and Jones can get Terry Reid and form the band they were supposed to.
