If she can identify as black, why can't she identify as poor?

Wait, I thought our chromosomes don't define how we identify ourselves and that decision should be respected.

Of course they will. I think many of us have been watching them long enough by now that we know what they're going to say before they know it.

And.. evil hat ON.

They will say that AOC wants to remove the laws that Dolezal is being charged with because AOC wants her to continue to collect thousands of dollars from hardworking (read white) Americans in order to fund Dolezal's transracial lifestyle and to encourage young white people to deny their proud traditional (read white) identities for a free payout from the government.

Evil hat..OFF.

Tens of thousands of people leading happier lives, and boy aren't you just THRILLED to find a single narrative to latch onto to try to tear them down.  Someday I'd like to at least understand what you get out of it.  How it makes your life better.  How it improves the overall quality of you life.  Anything.  Anything at all about how it accomplishes anything except trying to force people back into misery.

I understand not having a great childhood, really I do.  I also understand changing your outside to match your inside, to preserve your sanity.

But, if you think you are going to get away with defrauding the government, you really are a head case, lady, especially while trying to be black.  Everyone knows you have to be white for these events to be "a misunderstanding," and you can't use a public defender either.

fark your racism to start with. To follow up, many white people run afoul of fraud, if there's such a thing, it's the whitest of crimes (unless you count Asians).

The irony here is if Rachel really was black you'd not have heard a word of any of this. It's her white privilege that made this story possible. The funny thing for me is that she's learning exactly what it means after spending years railing against it. Perhaps it's not as powerful as most thought

Yeah this is some kind of mental illness.
I think it's good to learn about and try to understand in some small way what it is like to be African American in this country and all the weight of history behind it.  However this is crazy and stinks on ice.  You don't get to claim the struggle or experience of African Americans as a white girl. You don't get to point at the history and say "this is what made me". White people are free to and often welcomed in black rights activist groups but don't come in claiming their experience.
She infuriates and repulses me with her behavior, but it's most likely mental illness so I gotta temper that with pity.

This brings to mind that Comedy is sometimes highlighting the absurd.
I asked in a thread where people were making fun of someone that had cut off a limb due to body dysmorphia how's that different from a male to female transgender and was attacked instead of answered. Both had mental images of what their body should look like and suffered for it not looking that way.

She can identify as black all she wants.  What matters here is some judge is going to identify her as convicted.  Then she can spend some years identifying with consequence.  Maybe a better person will shake out of it.  Maybe a better person won't.

Really? Because she was pretty black as far as appearance. So why wouldn't she have the experience? I'm sorry but I do NOT claim the experience of my grandmother who was in an actual concentration camp. Her experience was horrid and something I would never diminish by claiming myself. It pisses me off when black people try to "claim" that experience. In all reality many white and Asians are far more likely to know what slavery (sexual) is like nowadays.

So why does she get shiat on while others get understood? Don't get me wrong, I think what she did was completely hypocritical and damaging due to the fact that she made up hate crimes (what exposed her in the first place). I'm glad she got exposed. But what experience do you claim that black people have that she wouldn't while looking "black" the entire time? Genetic memory? WTF are we on about here?

Why don't you expound why genetic markers don't mean farkall when it comes to gender identity but not racial identity? Why don't you follow up with explaining why there are such a thing as ebony skinned green eyed humans on the planet. Seriously. You're very "woke", why don't you explain to the rest of us where the "wokeness" ends. Skin color? Is that your delination? Because that sounds racist to most.

You have to remember, all groups have their own special cognitive dissonance.
Kind of like MAGAT's hate Federal power and love States Rights above all else, until a state does something they disagree with. Or want small government, except for people they don't agree with.
SJW's like everyone to be tolerant and accepting of their own personal choices, while being aggressively intolerant and attacking of all others personal choices. But don't bring it up, or you are intolerant of their intolerance which is unacceptable. It gets in the way of their intolerance of everyone else, which is always perfectly ok.

To answer the realistic question, local university did a study of one thousand transgender people versus the control group of 1,000 non transgender people, and performed a DNA test. Of the transgender people, 999 of them actually had genetic markers for the opposing gender. They were "supposed" to be that gender, but were born without that gender as a birth defect, as a baby might be born with not enough fingers. Their internal physical structure and brain structure match their "preferred" gender.

Ostensibly, if we had DNA tested all babies at birth, instead of relying solely on genetalia that can have the same birth defects as any other organ, there would be no transgender people.

Well, except for that one thousandth guy. I don't know what his story is. I'll give you him.

I ridiculed Rachel as much as anyone else but how is her being born white and identifying as a different race any different than someone identifying as the wrong gender?

Now, she went on to make up a bunch of hate crimes which didn't happen and that is absolutely worthy of punishment but her claiming to be a different skin pigment? That's your line? Really?

So, according to your "woke" ways, what race am I?

That's easy. Your race is "racist"

/You don't know many SJW's do you?

What a racist thing to say. How about you go fark yourself.

Some real winners for fellow travelers you got there.  Must make you real proud, given how concerned you are about all this and not totally doing it just to tear people down and hurt them.

This here is a lady, openly mocked, en mass, for feeling affinity and belonging to a certain group of people.
Can you please explain why you haven't come to defend her choices?
Or have such a reaction to the open mocking of her for her choices of identification as you did to my comment?
This brings to mind that Comedy is sometimes highlighting the absurd.
I asked in a thread where people were making fun of someone that had cut off a limb due to body dysmorphia how's that different from a male to female transgender and was attacked instead of answered. Both had mental images of what their body should look like and suffered for it not looking that way.

I'm sure we have Farkers with genetics knowledge that can confirm that all of us have 'black' genes in our composition.

Why do you feel affronted by my comparison but not come to her defense?
Even Subby made fun of how she 'identifies'.

I'm having trouble identifying with your level of stupidity.  You're really grasping by trying to connect sexuality, skin color, and Dolezalness.

Because that sounds racist to most.

lol look at you being cute with your woke nonsense.  Take your cheap talking points back to 4chan.

Luse: Why don't you expound why genetic markers don't mean farkall when it comes to gender identity but not racial identity?

She has filed lawsuits for racial discrimination.

Nobody really cares if you identify as an Apache Attack Helicopter, what people do care about is trying to subvert the justice system.

Honestly, I'm wondering if she's being paid to play that character by some political group. If she can successfully claim racial discrimination despite being genetically and culturally white, then the groups calling for the repeal of racial discrimination laws will have a great example to "prove" that discrimination happens across to whites as well, and African Americans shouldn't get extra legal protection.

Luse: omg bbq: styckx: I watched that documentary about her on Netflix..  It's so cringe.. She just absolutely refuses to accept the fact she's white..

Dolezal actually thought of doing household chores such as doing dishes as a child as "slavery".

She is a sociopath who had a rather good run.

It comes down to something deep in the brain. But since neurology is way, way too complicated for you to ever understand, you try to simplify it, like you try to simplify everything else.. in denying that neurological structures can make one feel like they literally have "a brain in the wrong body," you admit to willful ignorance of modern science. Instead, you'd rather rely on what you learned in k-12 grades many, many moons ago.

I don't disagree with you on that. None of what she did bothered me until she started making up hate crime charges and reporting them to the police. (Ironically, the thing that lead to her undoing) As you say, I don't give a fark if you identify as an Apache Attack Helicopter, I'll laugh at you just the same, the moment you start trying to CREATE racial tension? fark you and the Apache Attack Helicopter you rode in on!

No one, not even you, believes you were 'just asking questions'.  Hell you even pointed out yourself this isn't your first rodeo with that particular cute trick.  Ain't even the second as I recollect things.  And yet, on the actual topic you're trying to falsely conflate, I ain't seen your ass anywhere.  We got words for people who ain't seen saying jack and shiat except when they can weasel word shiat-slide their way in sideways and try to get a dig in at people on unrelated topics.  The main one is coward.  Nice part is that scum ferrets like you self-identify with every self-aggradizing layering of standing on borrowed morals they try to hide behind when called on it.  You ain't suddenly OH SO CONCERNED about people's right to self-identify.  You want to blow smoke up someone's ass find someone who shares your kink, I don't swing on that vine, sailor.

Are you calling me a concern troll?!
There are no trolls on Fark.

And to tell you the truth, I actually did feel like a concern troll typing that, because if I'm speaking from the heart, I don't care about her as an individual. I DO care that people are not discriminated against due to pigmentation.

And I wasn't "just asking questions", I want people to think, especially when holding two different standards for whomever they chose. A good example of that that I've mentioned here before is: people against blackface but don't see a movie like White Girls as wrong.

So whether you think I was trolling or not, please don't call me a "coward" then avoid my question: how much of a difference between identifying as a different race vs identifying as a different gender, and why does it seem like people are fine mocking one group while the other is almost taboo to even highlight?

/and for the record I'm actually fine with mocking behaviors, not groups. I'm not looking for a disinfected world

No, your direct statement as to my "race" is what I was responding to. I don't give a rats ass about being "woke", honestly, I think that's a joke. I'm a poet etc.

Nope, I'm an aging immigrant fark who doesn't have time for the bullshiat. Anyone that describes themselves as "woke" can eat a bag of dicks, starting with mine, hold the teeth, open the throat.
