"This conclusion," they wrote in a unanimous judgment, "is particularly informed by the Forest Service's serious environmental concerns that were suddenly, and mysteriously, assuaged in time to meet a private pipeline company's deadlines."

Funny way of spelling "corruptly".

Well, if I had to pick two words to describe the Chump administration's regulatory policies "arbitrary" and "capricious" would probably be top contenders.

Dominion Energy

Could they have picked a more menacing name?

"We builds our pipes where we please. The US forest service is our biatch. We are Dominion!"

/The first thought that went through my mind was how Mike Pence and Ted Cruz's dad are involved in this.

"Virginia was given the title "Dominion" by King Charles II of England at the time of The Restoration, because it had remained loyal to the crown during the English Civil War, and the present moniker, "Old Dominion" is a reference to that title."

Whew! Thankfully Dominion only means standing up for a monarchy. For a second there I was worried it might be something negative.

If you think it's scary sounding, or that the story of the origin is obscure (I didn't know it before now) I'm not arguing that. The point was (assuming the OP was American) they should know Virginia is called the "Old Dominion" and be able to figure out that's why Dominion Energy is named that.

The Appalachian Trail, a strange groovy highway for hikers.

We have friends who live in Roanoke and when we visit them we do the very nice day hikes in that area. The through hikers are always polite and welcoming.

The idea of tearing another gash through it is absurd.
