Of course, they use long as a reference to time, and subby gets defensive and immediately thinks about length.  It's okay, subby.  That's just how short your genes made you.  Not your fault.

The DPAA has been doing this work since 2015 when it was formed.

This type of work has been done since there was a Department of War.
Yes, Department of War, the predecessor of the Department of Defense.

Yeah we know, but the science has advanced enough to identify remains that they couldn't before.

It is noble work and exceedingly worthy of being done when technologically feasible, I am glad that the effort is being made.
