As long as you stop before college, go for it. High school is just babysitting, aside from math, if you have half a brain and read sometimes.  I just dropped out and learned on my own until college age, but, if you can't do that, doing as little as possible is perfectly acceptable.

Once you leave school, you'll find that good ideas are good ideas no matter if you came up with them or someone else did.

All this BS about ethics stops once you leave the halls of education. It only matters because you ought to be learning the subjects you're studying. Aside from that, there's little reason to be so harsh about taking credit for the work of others.

Hell, my entire job is to corral others and make them deliver. You can bet I'll take credit when things go well.

I'm done.
I just thought I'd get that out of the way early, or this could become a very long and boring thread.

Plagiarize,
Let no one else's work evade your eyes,
Remember why the Good Lord made your eyes,
So don't shade your eyes,
But plagiarize, plagiarize, plagiarize --
Only be sure always to call it please "research".
-- Winston Churchill

The best part of Ivanka Trump's speech is I can steal other people's jokes about it and people can't tell if I'm being ironic or not.

I stopped by to confirm the apologists can't write for shiat.

I minored in British literature. It's far too easy to write a paper without actually reading a book to even take the chance on cheating, imo. Papers have a structure to them... learn that and you can bs your way safely through any paper. I probably only read one half of the books I was assigned (if I knew they were going to be on my final exam I always read them), and still had straight A's. A plagiarized paper could get you kicked out of college, which was far too high of a risk for me to ever take.

Hell, by the look of it there are few good original ideas left. Every story has been told and retold. Most of the good movies(and some of the shiatty) are being made again, albeit horribly. I've got a few stories rattling around in my brain but I'm not sure they are any good. More than likely that's exactly where they will stay. Point is she's a little sh$t for doing it but most writers seem to. I wish dearly that I could become a published writer but I'd never take credit for something not mine. It would feel dirty and ashamed.

This quote was actually created by Steve Jobs, who paraphreased a TS Elliott Quote.  "Immature poets imitate; mature poets steal".

And the TS Elliott quote is the reverse of an maxim from an earlier author.  "That great poets imitate and improve, whereas small ones steal and spoil"
