I fast forwarded through the whole thing.

I'm not going to tell you you're wrong, but I do feel bad that you couldn't enjoy it. Cuz it really was a wonderful ting

The last season sucked. It had ...two good episodes? And how dare they fark up the Eagles winning the superbowl! That said, it looked like this last one was going to keep up the stink streak right up until the ending.

I was blown away. No punchline, no lame gag. It was all heart. I thought it was genius, but I'm sure most people didn't care for it.

I'm not big on dance--but it was captivating.  The way they used the rain to slip and slide was very cool.  Regardless of "is this IASIP?", I was happy to see something so beautiful.

There had been some interviews with Olson and Mcelhenney commenting about his recent workout binge.  She alluded to it on Dax Shepard's podcast and said she wasn't a fan but he was doing it for something very specific on the show.  This season has been very uneven with Howerton moving on but the VERY slow burn with Mac over the many seasons was all worth the last 5 minutes and DeVito's response.  That was sort of amazing, and I am sure 90% of the 'fans' of the show hated it and want the same gang from the first two seasons back.

He's a proponent of kidnapping asylum seeking children.  So don't hold your breath.  Both Mac and the dancer are too old for him.

It's a headfark watching the show have an earnest moment, but it's amazing.

Meh, after season 10 I've only liked 2 or 3 episodes a season. This season was no exception. Haven't watched the last two episodes yet.

very interesting article. I've only casually watched Sunny reruns but I'm now curious about the dance number. Gonna try and watch it at work later.

That was dope. I enjoyed it.  I only started watching in the fifth season but fell in love with it and have watched ever since.

I really liked that song too. Adding that to the playlist.

Staggering and brilliant -- a monumental and moving finale to a wonderfully subversive series.

I'm sitting here scratching my head at how the heck they didn't skid out and kill themselves many times over on that wet floor.

Have only watched bits & pieces of a few early shows & not really a contemporary dance fan but that was pure art.

7 months of training & practice for that finale is a crazy risk, but without even knowing what's happening I'd say it was worth it.

It was the most "un-Sunny" moment in the entire series but I loved it all the same.

I do wonder how, assuming they do continue the series, they're going to find a way to make Mac terrible again after such an empathizing moment (although I guess the knowledge that Charlie was molested by his uncle has never stopped him from being one of the garbage people that make up The Gang)

I feel like "Sunny" has been running on fumes for years, at this point.

I really liked it for a while, but I reached a point where it just wasn't funny or surprising anymore. It's impressive that they maintain at least *some* level of quality with the writing, and it's even more impressive that they have resisted the urge to "retool" (It's Always Sunny In Cleveland! Dee has a baby!), but the show is lifeless. It's like a McDonald's cheeseburger - tasty-ish, but why would I eat it when there are so many better things?

The woman was great. He looked like a stiff lumbering oaf.

Ok, I just started reading the article and she's a professional ballerina. No wonder he didn't hold up in her presence.

I still loved the episode though. I've been rewatching the series and just watched old lady house. Every season has at least one eponymous episode (last year for me was the gang turns black), even this most recent season. The show had a few bad seasons but then last year made up for it. This year was another bad season though.

Hilarious, i did a google search for my image, and saw that McDonalds thing, and figured it was a mistake.  I didn't realize Mac was in it.       I saw the film, but it was probably 30 years ago.     Wouldn't it be hilarious if someone when out and made a sequel?  Not even for a joke, but treat it really earnestly. It would really mess with the audience.

The Gang does something artistic and emotionally uplifting?

I'm not even certain which way is up anymore.

Her first couple of slides, I thought her knees would be hamburger meat, till I saw that it was a rubber mat or something.
Amazing episode that leaves me waiting for next season.
Does Mac and possibly even Frank grow and change?  Or will this be forgotten?
So much they could do with those characters.

Not gonna lie, I was flipping through channels after the kid went to bed and landed on this right as it started. I was sooooo confused until I saw Mac's dad get up and walk off. I honestly thought Rob mcelhenny was on dances with the stars. I ended up watching the whole thing and realized that I was sitting there mouth agape after it ended. That was legitimately one of the most poignant dance numbers I can ever recall seeing, hell I almost gave them a standing ovation in my living room. I'm a huge sunny fan, and am always impressed with Rob's commitment to a bit, even if they fall flat every now and then, the dude is insanely committed. And having a beautiful woman in soaking wet clothes in what appeared to be very cold water didn't hurt the cause at all. ;)

That dance was phenomenal. A one in a million tv moment. But I also really appreciated a directorial decision in it: the sounds. In big dance scenes, it's ALWAYS about the music and the motion. Always. In this, the music was quietly beautiful, letting you hear the dancers. The footsteps, the splashes, the water falling, the small noises dancers make. It brought an extra sense of reality, of intimacy to the dance, which made it so much more powerful than it already was. I mean, Jesus, I have the emotional range of an autistic rock, and even I was of the verge of tears at how powerful that was
