I can't imagine getting into a flame war with Dolt45 on Twitter will help get you very many new supporters, but it might get a lot of attention from the bot army working for Dolt's benefit, polluting up your timeline with the hottest garbage.

I liked it better when said Trump needed to grow up on TRMS last night.  He should have added, "...AND grow a pair."

But sno man makes a good point.  The only winning move, when it comes to Trump, is not to play.

I'm not sure either of you are right.  If Gillium's gambit is to motivate his base to get out and vote, maybe playing Trump's game is just what the doctor ordered.

Trump never gives a f$ck about pissing of liberals - why are liberals so scared of pissing off Trump's base.  F$ck Trump's base - get your base to the polls anyway you can.

I lack certainty these days.  Stupid timeline.

But to counter my own point, if he's going to engage he might as well go straight for Trump.  DeSantis is a poor proxy.  And given that he still has no policy positions (other than kneeling and sticking his nose up Trump's crack), may as well cut out the middle man.

DeSantis is a non-value-added channel.

Ignoring DeSantis makes DeSantis look pathetic and weak and Trump's base hates weakness.  However, Trump's base is showing up no matter what.  F$ck them (I just like posting that).  Independents are not going to punish Gillum if he is simply defending himself.   Gillum just needs to bump-up black turn-out by about 10 points and attacking Trump helps - especially if it make Trump look more racist.

Trump had only one trick.  Talk a whole bunch of bullshiat and remember which pieces of bullshiat got the best reaction from the audience.  I get your point but Trump has to appeal to a stupid base so he has do stupid stuff and lie.  Liberals also need to tell their base what they want to hear but it is more challenging because that base is more intelligent and doesn't like be lied to (as much).

However it happened and whatever led to it, guess what, Trump has short circuited America.

People keep biatching about people who don't participate, but actually...

If you are participating and what yoy have ti farking add is that you think it's somehow bad to shiat all over Trump because you expect everyone to respect the president because he's president and because he made it to being president then he must be above this kind of reproach... Then fark you. Stop participating. You are too stupid.

Trump has flushed all the respect the office bullshiat completely down the toilet by making low, vulgar and worst of all inaccurate attacks on not just opposing seekers of political office, but respectable citizens who happen to disagree with Republican policies and really anyone who comes into the public eye who isn't 100% gung ho for MAGA.

So fark Trump. He doesn't deserve any respect. Giving him the presidency doesn't force people to respect him. It forces us to remove our respect for the office because the person in it is unworthy of it, period.

Trump IS weak and it absolutely frustrates me to no end that any human being sees that behavior and thinks that is strength. Every other president, certainly in my lifetime, wasn't so insecure as to nakedly lash out like Trump does. Not towards anyone.

Trumpers say liberals don't get the message. Maybe some of them don't or don't want to.

I got your message. You think bullying is how you can "win" against liberals so you support a straight up bully.

Cool.

Maybe you forgot or maybe we went to different high schools. But when bullied people finally give up on playing nice, they will bully the bullies. And they will get it worse.

Slowly but surely, we're starting to figure out the need and the method of bullying your bully.

Enjoy the dynamic you've been craving, farksticks.

The difference between Gillum and Obama would be that the former would probably meme himself (or more likely a campaign staffer would) wearing a tan suit eating a sandwich with arugula and Grey Poupon with the shades going down, saying "Deal With It."

Honestly, a lot, and I do mean A LOT of the right wing barking can be quelled (not completely stopped of course) by doing the equivalent of saying "So?" Obama didn't lose a single vote from them because of a tan suit, eating arugula, or Grey Poupon - the entire point was to get liberals hot and bothered.

Also, as I read somewhere else on Fark so won't take credit:  Deprioritize debating on facts or rationality.  You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.  Instead, call them weak and cowardly.  _That_ hits home.  How did D2S gather them all into his cult?  He promised them that he'd make them strong and successful.  Of course, it's just not true, but they like hearing it, and they believe him, and the believe his self-description of being tough and smart, beyond all supporting evidence.  Call him a weak, stupid coward every time he acts like a weak, stupid coward.

I mean, continue calling out factual errors, lies, and bullshiat... but I would love to see more (D)s and media personalities calling the (R)-asshole leadership weak, spineless cowards.

Also, HRC should have farking leaned into "deplorables," but that's a rant for another thread.

Well, , maybe Hillary can take this approach in 2020......In a recent interview, Hillary said "i would like to be president" and when questioned on another run she just kind of dodged that question.  So take it with a grain of salt i suppose but i suspect shes forging another ring in Mount Doom.

SFSailor: mrshowrules: Trump never gives a f$ck about pissing of liberals - why are liberals so scared of pissing off Trump's base.  F$ck Trump's base - get your base to the polls anyway you can.

10000x THIS.

I agree.  I hope every single Democrat starts using the word "weak" non-stop for 45 and the rest of the GOP.  Also, if I were running for an office, I'd push the narrative that they can't accomplish anything for the people because they are cowards and liars.  Michelle had it wrong.  When they go low, we should put our feet on their neck and finish them.

Also, regarding HRC, I think her biggest mistake was not calling him an outright wimp during a nationally televised debate.  She hinted at it, but never went in for the kill.  Now we're all stuck here.

And his base will cheer, "FINALLY!"
What the MSM will do with it will probably fail to impress.
I just hope it upsets enough decent folk to make a change.

Whenever Trump is questioned about some new issue or recent development- he gives a strongly stated knee jerk answer, then makes a couple of superficial observations about the problem and then goes back to hedge on his first statement.

If the public reaction favors his initial knee jerk, he will repeat it and pretend that he never hedged on it.  If public reaction to his initial knee jerk is unfavorable, he'll repeat what he said to hedge on it and emphasize that things were uncertain then but he knows more now so he was wise to say what he said while backpedaling.

Democrats need to use that as proof that Trump is a wimp or a confused old man who can't make a decision and stick with it.  That he's indecisive, or doesn't have the stamina to follow through on things.
