There's only one man who would dare in the first place.

Don't be too proud of this technological wonder you've constructed. The ability to launch a satellite is insignificant next to the power of the Morse.

all well and great when you fighting 3rd world countries or rag tag terroriest.  Completely useless if fighting a country that can launch its own satellites.   You can't tell me that the USA and Russia don't have Satellites in orbit that are made to take out other satellites.  At lest back in the cold wars.  It would even take much to do.  we use lasers all the time in space.  Just have a sat with one powerful enough to burn a sat and its all over.

Shoot the USA has already show it can shoot a sat down with missiles.

Which is why we need to continue to have and practice using HF radio.

Satellites are great, but they can be destroyed.  The ionosphere will always be there no matter what.

You ham radio freaks are never going to be the heroes you imagine.

I know, you have this scenario in your head. (They all do) The humbled people of a post war earth will search out the few remaining elder who know of the old ways. Then, only with the help of the wise old radio operators, will they be save.

It ain't gonna happen. If the world is THAT trashed nobody CARES what's going on in Argentina in 2 in the morning. They care about gathering food and water.

Actually, they were on topic about the military using HF radio as a backup to satellite communications.
