Sounds like a case of the show-biz blues.

What I find weird is back in the 70's everyone was seeping with everyone else and that caused some pretty convoluted relationships and band dynamics and was a lot of pressure on the whole band but they muddled through. Today they are all seinor citizens and now they don't want to play together?!?

I would imagine being in a band for decades is like being in a multi-partner marriage and it's pretty normal to get sick of another persons shiat after a while.

I don't blame him on this one. For good or ill, a band is a brand and a business. Firing someone for a facial expression they made one time is crazy. Stevie Nicks looks like the big asshole on this one.

Not sure if this is correct.  I think he's only been down one time.

Guess he heard Rumors from a Sentimental Lady that he'd get a Landslide of a payout, but As Long As You Follow things like this (like I Do), you'll know he's in Over His Head and his Dreams will wash away this Man Of The World in the Sands Of Time.  Oh Well.

I love Fleetwood Mac and I like Lindsey Buckingham, but, when he goes from whisper-singing Lindsey to yell-singing Lindsey, especially live, everything goes to hell.

$12 million? Yeah, that's definitely gonna cut into Stevie's blowin'-cocaine-up-your-own-ass money.

There is no other band like "Fleetwod Mac". Their sound is absolutely unique. And when you are in the mood for it, it's perfect. "Steely Dan" is the same way.

I don't listen to either band very often, but sometimes they are just what I want, and nothing else scratches the same itches.

Steely Dan was a rock band with 5 members that morphed into a duo who hired the best jazz musicians on Earth. They are recognizable due to Fagen's voice and quirky lyrics.

If anyone would have suggested to me that Neil Finn was joining Fleetwood Mac, I would have laughed hysterically. But, what clips I have seen of them all together, it ain't half bad. But then again, the music has already been written.

I wonder if they will slip in any old Split Enz jams in live shows.

Noice!

Just mentally going through their "known" singles, I suppose it's probably the best choice.

$12,000,000 would have been his cut for a 50 city tour?
And that's assuming the other 4 make the same amount.  And you have promoters to pay, roadies, sound techs, etc.??

I don't know if any of y'all are from Colorado, or have heard of KBCO. But they put out an annual album of live music from acts that come through the Denver/Boulder area and play in their live studio. Around 2000-2001 Stevie was touring and came through KBCO for an afternoon in Studio C. The whole set was awesome, but that version of Landslide is by far the best I have ever heard her sing it. Her telling of how the song was written and how it (in part) lead to her and Buckingham joining Fleetwood Mac was epic.

Pretty badly. Stevie Nicks should have just let Finn sing everything but the chorus.

That number seems, well, big.  These guys don't strike me as going out on the road for a very long time.  Not alot of bands at their age with their acclaim are doing it...I would think fatigue, stamina and health are big mitigating circumstances.

But if they're doing a "5 Year Plan Farewell Tour" then there might be something there.  I could see that number being way more relevant.

Kinda makes you realize how well a band like Metallica has it all figured out.  Like em' or not they're a money making machine and have engineered it for the long haul.  Those dues are set to do this for a very long time and reap the rewards.

Have you seen the cost of tickets for bands or single performers on their las tour. Tickets in Iowa run over $500. So yeh tickets and Merch sales should be about $12 million or more each.

Don't believe everything you read.  What are the odds that this article is telling the real story, or the whole story?  Pretty low, really.

Also, Buckingham is probably the biggest asshole crybaby in rock n roll history.  With people like that, every day is a fresh hell.  Who knows what douchebag thing he did to her/the band.

No one gets fired for a facial expression.  If they do, it's because that facial expression was the absolute last farking straw.  Maybe she finally decided that she's too old for his horsesh*t.

Oh, they aren't $500 bucks. Sheesh.

Ticket prices at the Well were $200, 150, 100, and 70.

Hell, there are 4 of the "club level" (5 rows off the floor, just to the right of the stage) on Craigslist WITH a parking pass for $800 bucks right this minute.

Depending on who you believe, (I believe the band), this lawsuit is pretty much bullshiat.

The band (sans Buckingham) wanted to start rehearsal this past June (which they did), and Buckingham wanted to wait until November of next year. Which in reality would have made for a 2020 tour. The rest of the band didn't want to wait that long. So him suing for his "share" when he didn't want to go out is sort of ridiculous. I don't know what he had planned, but if the old mates call, you go our you don't. You don't get paid for staying home.

This really all kinda sucks. But he's pulled this shiat before. He bailed on them for a decade and did the same thing he is now. Blamed Nicks for the reason why he wanted out.
