This video is full of really prepared people:
1. The speeding rich guys in track suits (ugh) were completely prepared with not just a getaway car but one with massaging seats.  Anything less would be uncivilized.
2. The Fire Fighter that got hit had his camera out to record evidence within seconds
3. The woman running her stand at the shop was completely ready for camera, looking cute and sounding smart with that Huracan MSRP off the top of her head.

Also, that 3400lb Huracan really gave that 7000lb F350 a hell of a push!

I don't consider a Lamborghini to be classy. It's pretty solidly in the "more money than sense" category.

I think what we have here is a stolen Lambo followed by a backup car. Lambo driver gets dumb and wrecks and hops into the getaway car.

It was a Mercedes, not a Rolls.

This seems like the most likely explanation, which is why the FF getting the images of the getaway Merc is important.  Lambos are driven almost exclusively by 60-something dudes who BABY them in traffic, short shifting at about 1200 rpm.  Their owners aren't blasting around at 20mph over the limit while texting on city streets, typically.

It is a real damn shame to never hear those V-10s or V-12s really spin up.

Pickup truck gets a free lambo?

The real owners can come down to the firehouse and claim it any time before 4.  Then, it becomes a demo for the Jaws of Life practice.  Then sold for parts.

"So what exactly do you do, Ms. Wilson?"

"Well, I'm an employee. At a business. Yeah, that's it--I'm a Business Employee."

I guessed Miami from heading the headline.

Head to the track :)

Brakes are still good.  Could probably get $20k for them.

Yes but he was wearing a track suit so at least he matched the assclown stying of the hurricane. So many puns so little charge on this phone.

Have you ever gone to a track? It's an eight am safety meeting on your day off, being lectured by some guy with a mustache about the Donnie Dos and the Donnie Don'ts. A lot more Donnie Don'ts. Track Safety, almost an oxymoron.

Plus you get the added bonus of talking to people about your car, all the sweet mods you've done and of course this dipshiat's ten second read on what you need to do to your car to make it really sweet. Meanwhile he's got a buddy with the fastest Mustang: glasspacks bro. Instead of just getting to blow them away at a light and never think about them again. Or not, occasionally having an F350 Diesel, with serious mods, pulling away from your LS powered six speed. Sometimes being humbled can be a mental colonic, you need those sometimes. Meanwhile back at the track, they send you out one at a time and you can compare slips after: so not satisfying.

Obviously if you hurt anyone that's not okay and you will suffer the repercussions. However if you wonder why people don't go to the track it's because that isn't the experience theh are interested. They might be silly enough to think they can pick up ladies like American Graffiti. At a track the only women there are either attached to one of the other racers or a racer herself, more likely than not with a serious chip on her shoulder because she's tired of all the douchey things car geeks say to her. Who could blame her?

The capricious, impromptu race with all the prep work, the pomp and circumstance of the track can be quite liberating. If you want to race in pastel shorts and flippy floppies instead of a nomex suit you can. At a track, you follow the rules or you don't drive. I suppose the Aussie Hoonigans embody that as do the american sport bike roving groups that stop for no flashing lights while doing a wheelie at 120 mph. Maybe people are just trying to pull away from the button down corporate life they live and for a moment: they want to be free.

If you showed up to a track and said I just want to ride around doing wheelies and shiat for my lap, do you think they would let you?
