I love how a bunch of broke college students believe that tax cuts aimed at the very wealthy are something that (a) actually affects them and (b) should be a guiding principal for "conservatives."  They're way more likely to end up with a pre-existing condition exclusion from medical coverage than they are to reap any genuine benefit from those tax cuts.

No. No, you're not. But they're willing to say that until they can get the folks of African and Hispanic descent under control. You're perfectly in your rights to support these jagoffs, but really, you're just setting yourself up for a fall later. It's a good thing that you're in college right now, because you've got time to educate yourself on the actualities of the policies that you're endorsing because you want to fit in and go to the right parties, with the right people that will hook you up with jobs when you get outside. I mean, I get it: networking IS a prime mover for making contacts outside school, but some of the folks you're networking with right now are just sh*tbirds who want to use you for cover...

There are only two things that Republicans approve spending money on: further enriching white men and oppressing anyone who is not a white man.  In those cases, deficits are fine.  If money goes towards anything else, then it's considered a waste.

See, that's what I don't understand.  Trump supporters know what they were getting: a disgusting, chauvinist, narcissistic, pussy-grabbing race-baiter.  He wore all that on his sleeve and always has.  They voted for him at least in spite of it if not because of it.  Even this WOC supports it.

So why waffle on it?  "So you can overlook the comments like what he said about Charlottesville?"

"YES, duhh!  Tax cuts, done.  Iran deal, cut.  Paris accord, cut.  Economny, even better than Obama's!  Who gives a sh*t about Charlottesville or anything else?"  AND THEN SPIKE THE BALL.

You voted for him, Republicans, you should not only own it but CELEBRATE it.

It's not that they are naturally prettier than the smart ones.  The dumb ones have all this time to make themselves prettier because they don't think and stuff.  The smart ones realize that there are better things to do than primp to find a hubby.  You better believe most of those female campus Repubs were there to get their MRS degree, not really actually prepare themselves for life or anything.  I mean, duh.

It's all Jude Wanniski.

"Democrats, he said, had been able to be "Santa Clauses" by giving people things from the largesse of the federal government. Republicans could do that, too - spending could actually increase. Plus, Republicans could be double Santa Clauses by cutting people's taxes! For working people it would only be a small token - a few hundred dollars a year on average - but would be heavily marketed. And for the rich it would amount to hundreds of billions of dollars in tax cuts. The rich, in turn, would use that money to import or build more stuff to market, thus increasing supply and stimulating the economy. And that growth in the economy would mean that the people still paying taxes would pay more because they were earning more.

"There was no way, Wanniski said, that the Democrats could ever win again. They'd have to be anti-Santas by raising taxes, or anti-Santas by cutting spending. Either one would lose them elections."

It's so common too.  They don't need critical thinking because they're all issued the same talking points.  They need only those talking points to get a seat at the big table.  They furrow their brow a little to give the appearance of thought, and deliver their memorized statements.  But it's all the same, whether it be these kids, FoxNews hosts, Republican senators, etc.  It's like a bible-quote approach to discourse.

I live in Athens, and a couple of things regarding this video:

1. That twerp Houston Gaines got his ass kicked by Deborah Gonzalez in the special election to replace Regina Quick (a GA state rep.) back last year. Don't know if she'll win re-election in November, but she had great numbers in Athens to pull off the victory.

2. Quick (an R) was selected to be a judge by Deal, and she promptly lost her election to Lisa Lott (D) back around April of this year.

3. UGA College Republicans are loud in terms of putting their signage up everywhere in the city, but overall they are FAR outnumbered in Athens/Clarke County. The visitor to Athens would think this place is Trump country, but it's not (at least Athens itself isn't - the surrounding counties, yes). Hillary won by a 2:1 ratio here, both Hillary and Bernie got more votes in the D primary than the best R (Cruz) did.

4. Is the Indian student a moron for being a College Republican. Probably so? That doesn't automatically mean that she's going to start going to LGBT rallies and supporting #metoo either. Indians and Asians in the metro ATL area may vote for Democrats overall, but not by much, and they are fairly conservative in their politics overall. Gwinnett County (largest concentration of Indians/Asians) went for Hillary, but it's not a liberal hotbed by any stretch of the imagination.

5. Kemp is from Athens, and a complete poseur. Right wing Georgians refer to Athens as the "People's Republic of Athens" and he knows this. That's why he sells himself as some farmer in south GA or somebody from the north GA mountains.

6. Back to UGA republicans - they aren't big in number so much as they are in volume. They get off on being obnoxious and trolling more than anything else. The administrators and professors at UGA are fairly liberal. In some ways, it's the opposite at Kennesaw State before Olens got disposed - loud liberal students and right wing admin.

Indians and Filipinos, really. And the Caribbean guest workers as well. Pretty much anyone that is a li'll too "ethnic" to be seen on the assembly lines, call centers, or fields, where anyone could snap a picture. But perfectly OK if there's no press.

It's kind of like how many folks in Arizona complain about all those illegal Messicans, yet always seem to show up looking for day workers at Home Depot and can't be bothered to check anyone's IDs? Or document their hours. 3/4 of the housing developments in Phoenix were built by illegal labor, and everyone was JUST FINE with it while the buildings were going up. It's only AFTER, when they stuck around, that they became a "problem"...
