I've never heard of it but  University of Prince Edward Island sounds like a pretentious, stuck up joint. She probably wasn't too surprised.

"We are trying to find a happy medium where girls can still work out with men" and "so that [girls] aren't too much, and distracting."

At some point people will have to accept the ramifications of what this statement really means.

You're just saying that guys have no self control, that to see a woman that isn't covered from head to toe makes them think a certain way and will make them act a certain way.

If a person said, "The Devil made me do it," you would dismiss that claim outright and call it an obvious lie.  If they persisted, and you truly felt that they believed this, you would have a professional assess them as a potential threat to society.

The lady warned her when she entered the gym that her outfit didn't seem to conform to the code, but that she would let it slide for this time. She then informed the girl when she was leaving that she had discussed it with her co-workers and determined that the outfit was indeed acceptable.

You're correct that *I* would, but in 2014, 77% of Americans believed in angels, while 40% of Americans believed that climate change was occurring due to human influence.

This country is full of people desperate to believe in anything other than personal responsibility.

Her just standing there taking a selfie doesn't really replicate how the outfit responds to actually exercising. In order to judge, I'm going to need to see a video of her raising her arms over her head while jumping up and down.

And another without the shirt on as a control sample.

That's true, some people (like my current boss) can't take yes for an answer.  Either their timid or stupid or insecure or whatever, I don't know or care.

But in this case, the enemy has broken ranks and it's time to charge through and savagely oust their unjust policies.  Taking 'yes' at its face in this scenario means that you're conceding that the policy itself is just fine.  And it's not.

It's the 21st century and we still live in a world where this:

"so that [girls] aren't too much, and distracting"
And this:
"So, in terms of a woman being emotional, you just have to accept that she will have her emotional outbursts at times because that is her nature."

Are both considered valid. Factual, even.

But remember, everyone, women have it easy and there are no problems at all and what appear to be built-in biases that punish women for literally everything, no matter who is actually at fault are actually just your imagination.

People sweat. No one wants bare skin contact on the equipment. Add into it any skin infections that are transferable by skin to skin contact.

"Abs are not sexual, a back is not sexual, breasts are not sexual unless the woman wants them to be sexual, stop sexualizing women's bodies doing mundane things and let them live their lives in peace."

So I can check out your tits all I want and you wont consider that sexual? Sweet, and all these years I've been working on my glace and peek technique when I could have been just staring right at them.

Here's a news flash ladies, everything about you is sexual to us guys, we're hard wired to like the way you look. Now most of us try to be discreet about it and steal a glance here and there without being obvious, but to say there's nothing sexual about how you look is ridiculous.

As for the dress code, while I haven't read the one in question, I think the intent is probably well meaning. A gym should be a place where people can feel comfortable, and most are written to apply to men and women equally. It's not necessarily to keep guys from being distracted, though there is that, but it's also to make everyone more comfortable. Women who are insecure about their own bodies don't want to see some young thing bouncing around in a sports bra and spandex shorts any more than us guys want to look at another dude's rippling abs while we work out.

Some people can't take yes for an answer.

Some people take exception to the whole: "You are a slutty, McSlut Slut, comin' in to distract our menfolk. You keep looking like that and you gonna get raped!" encounter.

If you think that was OK, then you have a problem and probably need to be assessed as to whether you are a threat to society. as mentioned above.
