COLD Pocari Sweat the night of the event (prior to going to sleep) and an extra bottle nearby for drinking during the night. It's usually available in good (Japanese/Korean) vending machines and at all conbinis.

Chug a giant bottle of water before going to sleep/passing out, along with a couple of aspirin. Good to go.

Stay hydrated with water and get enough to eat during the evening, you'll be fine.

Don't stop drinking

I usually set an alarm for 1 hour before I need to really get up, drink as much water as I can hold (maybe a liter?), then go back to sleep for an hour. It takes me 90% of the way back to normal.

Later, I might have a plate of corned beef hash and eggs, but I might have that even if I'm not hung over.

Liter of gatorade plus 2 multivitamins before bed, and a half liter of water plus 1 multivitamin upon waking.  Has always worked for me.

Hits of instant protein, mild carbs to absorb leftover alcohol, animos in the miso, wasabi to clear your head, ginger for your breath.

Get a blender, put in half a bottle of gatorade, a banana, a charcoal briquette, an ibuprofen, a ounce of vodka, one celery stick, 1 teaspoon of tabasco sauce, 1 oz of clam juice, 1 oz cream cheese, and a dash of pepper. Blend until smooth. Pour in a glass, put up to your mouth to drink, and throw up. Voila, you feel better.

It's used to be Subway's BBQ Chicken footlong sub after a night of drinking. This worked for just about any amount of stupidity in my 20s.

Now it's usually just be smart, don't close the bar down, eat, grab a water now and then. Take 3 advil before bed and keep a bottle of water handy.

A nap. The following day. Whether you're supposed to work or not. 11a comes around and you'll be good to go.

Didn't we have this thread a couple of weeks ago?

My go-to is ramen. Keep ramen in the cupboard and veggies and eggs in the fridge. If you want to get super fancy, keep ginger and lemongrass paste in the fridge too.

Bring the water (with optional ginger and lemongrass paste) and veggies to a simmer, add the noodles and simmer until the noodles are done. Remove the soup from heat, crack the egg into the broth and stir until the egg is cooked.

Dump into a big ass bowl and enjoy.

My favorite hangover cure used to be drinking a vial of blood from two virgins, one male and one female. Worked like a charm, but then #metoo happened and suddenly exsanguinating children was frowned upon.
Thanks Weinstein.

Water all the way, I've never had headaches.

Now quesy, quesy I certainly have had.  can't generally do anything until I get some toast and tea in me, eggs and bacon would be a little much.

Without reading the article: no, no, no, no, no. Your body will process the acetaldehyde at the same rate regardless of what you do.

I'm a fan of salty soups for breakfast the next day, spiked with citrus juice like lemon or lime. Menudo has long been my go-to, but pho is good, so is chicken soup, or ramen.

If it's going to be a bad one, I'll usually wake up early not feeling too well. In which case, I drink down a couple Alka-Seltzers, as much electrolyte replacement as I can stomach (Gatorade, Pedialyte if I have it) and then get another hour or two of sleep. Upon waking, more water with lemon or lime, then breakfast, and then coffee or tea. If I don't eat anything, I'll feel like hell all morning. It's not perfect, but I've survived a lot of Mondays this way.

Not in my experience. In my younger, sportier and healthier days I learned the only way to kill a hangover was to sweat it out. Kicks up your metabolism to filter the toxins out faster. Honestly the only thing other than sleep that ever worked for me, but christ it was hell.

Nowadays? I'd rather take a gutshot then uncurl from the girly fetal position I assume the morning after.

I only get hung over if I drink a lot of hard liquor too fast. I can't hold enough beer to get that wasted, and I have learned to pace myself when drinking liquor.

But, in the rare occasion I do get a hangover, it's strong coffee, and either bacon or sausage, eggs and hashbrowns, or a McDonalds sausage & egg biscuit, followed up by some V8 juice with worcestershire sauce, pepper and hot sauce. More of a ritual than a cure I suppose. Oh, and lots of water before going to bed, and after getting up.

Greasy porkroll egg and cheese in the morning, before passing out drink as much water as you can, pop a few tums and ibuprofen. Has worked for over 30 years.
