"We use a dead goat," said Scott A. Zimmerman, a team co-captain.

Meh. I'm sure that's much easier than using a live one.

When do you battle an Orc? Before or after the journey up to the top of the hill and back down?

I wonder if eagle-hunting is hunting for eagles or with eagles? Eagles were restricted to Kings and Emperors in the Middle Ages but in Central Asia, maybe anything goes in falconry. You might have to catch and train your own eagle, of course, but you would have a bird fit for a king. I have a newspaper clipping of a Central European falconer in full traditional dress, consulting his cellphone. with a friend standing by, both looking very medieval and folkloric but somehow up-to-date.

It looks ultra cool. Imagine if they had cellphones in the Middle Ages!

I have also seen a picture of a fake cellphone from Africa. Such is human vanity. As Shakespear observes, it makes the whole world kin. The cellphone is not a toy, Chinese, or made out of gummy. It never held balls of chewing gum. It is carved carefully and accurately out of stone. Probably limestone, light brown.

Could it be more crazy and paradoxical? A cellphone carved out of stone! A Flintstones cellphone. Real. You could buy one as a souvenir perhaps.

I have also seen a picture of Papua New Guinea wearing loin clothes and feathers, looking at a display of modern televisions, I mean colour, not B&W.

Oh, boy. I love things like this. I love when Stone Age and Space Age stand side by side and illustrate how little we have changed in 10,000 years or so. The Ancient Roman playwright, Terence, said it wisely:
Homo sum. Humani nihil alienum ad me puto. I think if I had a personal motto, that would be it.

Second question:  wrestling on horseback or wrestling horses?

Inquiring minds want to know. But not enough to read the article, apparently.

It's hunting with eagles.

Sadly, hunting gray wolves with eagles is also a thing.

At the Nomad games they use a dead wolf to make things equal.

However, wolves are a problem for the pastoral nomads in Asia. Losing a sheep or goat is a disaster for these people, so if wolves come prowling around, the eagles are brought in to hunt them.
