Division game against a team that came oh so close to the Super Bowl last year?  Rodgers is playing.  It is up to him and it should be.

I think if the team doctor says no he will listen. And the Packers will listen. I mean you don't want all that cash this year going on an injured player.

But yeah. I think he's playing.

To anyone bemoaning the backup situation, the Packers will go as far as Rodgers take them. It isn't worth spending big money on his backup when you could spend that on players that you hope contribute.

"hey doc, if Rodgers plays, does he have any increased risk of season ending injury?"

Yes -- "sit down and get better, a loss by 70 points is the same as a loss by 1."

No -- "Give this man as many painkillers as he wants, you're playing."

Plain and simple... you don't play him, you lose the game.

I don't see any incentive for sacrificing a W just to allow your slightly banged up QB become a little less banged up.

He's gonna get lit up. Skol

I understand the need to play severely injured quarterbacks. It's not like there's a conspiracy afoot to keep quality talent off the playing field.

He's the 34 year old most expensive qb in history, with an injury in one of the easiest spots to aggravate, so it's more than just keeping him less banged up. But like you said, if he doesn't play then they lose. If he gets hurt for the season and they can't afford a replacment (because they are then paying him more money than <insert joke> has to ride the bench) than I donno if green bay could beat the Browns. Ok, maybe a bad example there, but what choice do they have? A winning season depends on him playing and not getting injured. If I had anyone on GB on my fantasy team I would be scouting replacments now.

you mean Martyr McMartyrface?

It's not like playing him is a guaranteed win. If there's a greater chance of a single hit ending his season this week than next week, I think you have to sit him. Better a 9-7 wild card team than a 4-12 flop with the best paid clipboard jockey in history.

Fark No, his QBR blows

Paid him too early.

I'd sit Rodgers and give his knee more time to heal.

If they were facing the Bills defense, he could play all he wants. But they're facing the Vikings defense this week. Rodgers is better off sitting, instead of having a meeting of the Barr association on his knee every third and long.

Nope and while I am Vikings fan that not why I'd sit him either.

I'd sit him as its obvious he is not 100%  and his knee injury is not well known as it make it a target of the Vikings Defense  that is likely to be in Rodgers face all game long.   The odds of reinjury are just too damn high.

They killed him Last year....

Packers lose this game whether Rodgers plays or not. The difference in talent on the two rosters is astounding. Even if Rodgers were perfectly healthy it would be hard to bet against the Vikings.
