The Democrats said they were trying to slow things down because they felt that the GOP were rushing things in an attempt to avoid proper vetting.

The GOP accused them of being whiny biatches.

I think they might have been on to something, actually. Sorry about the timing vis-à-vis midterms, Republicans, but, in Kavanaugh, you might have bought a pup.

Just from info so far kavanaugh has found over $250k in cash on the side of the road and did not pay tax on any of it.

Kavanaugh can go Bork himself

Probably got the cash the same place Donny got his $400 million cash that mysteriously bailed him out at his lowest.

That's right, working from home in their spare time doing surveys.

Even stay at home moms know they can make real money just by clicking a few buttons!  One or two surveys a month really starts to add up.

he'll still get at least 51 votes as all the republican senators fall in line. maybe a couple of red-state dems too.

And then in 2021 we see the first ever SCOTUS judge impeachment.

I'm sure somebody at the IRS and FinCen are looking at his paperwork right now.

I know it seems commonplace in the Trump era but having a bought off judge is actually a very bad thing that we should try to prevent.

No one in this situation would get a security clearance because it reads he is to susceptible to blackmail or bribery. But it's ok for SCOTUS?

Let that sink in.

Senate needs to see his income taxes.

2018-09-14 10:45:19 AM
I might say that he will be the single most corrupt member of SCOTUS in history, but I remember Scalia's all-expenses-paid trip to a private duck hunting preserve own by an energy industry magnate, flying in on the magnate's personal jet, at a time when the magnate had cases pending on the SCOTUS docket, and Scalia sneered with contempt at charges that this was a conflict of interest. His retort boiled down to, "I'm Antonin F*cking Scalia, if I do it, then by definition there is no conflict of interest."

So, although it is clear that Kavanaugh is dirty and corrupt, it's hard to say if he will be the new champion.

Corruption: IOKIYAR.

Second.

Though, Sam Chase was acquitted.

It's simply.  He got $140K from a settlement on backpay for federal judges.  And then stored that in a pillow for three years, while continuing to accrue outrageous interest charges on his credit card debt.

It's what any fiscally responsible person would do.  Duh.

You liberals have less on this guy than that Manafort dude.

The really sad/hilarious thing is McConnell told Trump he'd be difficult to get through and that someone from the list Gorsuch was picked from would be much easier. Of course Trump can't take good advice so here we are. Might work out a little better in the end for sane people anyway if Kavanaugh has to withdraw.

I like when they make claims like this.

The response should be "then you're too irresponsible or stupid to have this position."

This bears investigating.

The historians are going to have a field day when they get hands upon the documents being kept sequestered from public and congressional review by Trump and his treasonous crew in the House and Senate.

I hope we give them a good ending to point to. Like some actual, terrible punishments that make the next Trump / traitors rethink their attacks on our democracy.

I guess you could use them for money laundering, although you'd have to find someone willing to be paid in Nats tickets.

Probably on the greater side of baseless conspiracy on my part, but with this administration, conspiracy seems to be their MO, but it's starting to seem like the WH bought a supreme court vote for insurance against Mueller.

It was reported that Kavanaugh did not appear on the heritage foundations list of supreme court nominees which trump promised to pick from if a vacancy came open, until just after Mueller was appointed. It's also been reported that trump and his brood actively petitioned justice Kennedy to resign, using such logic that he had a greater chance of being replaced with a conservative judge now, then later. Now we find that Kavanaugh, not one to turn away from shady af dealings, suddenly has lost all his debt.

It really sounds like once Mueller was appointed the WH made an opening to stick a paid stooge on the bench to insulate trump from subpoenas or indictments.

What does any of this have to do with the principle issue?
Namely: how loyal to Donald Trump will he be?
It's the only treason he was selected, and the only qualification for which he need be vetted.

BREAKING:

A woman is accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of attempting to rape her at a party while they were both in high school.

Kavanaugh, in a statement to The New Yorker, which broke the details of the encounter, denied the claim.

"I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation," he said. "I did not do this back in high school or at any time."

This week's episode of 'Stay Tuned With Preet' covered Kavanaugh and some of what led to him being where he is. The short version is abortion and executive power. It's an excellent podcast.

The financial stuff is just the bread on the sh*t sandwich that is Kavanaugh.

Maybe someone sold him a house for 10k that he immediately flipped for 250k. It's quite common amongst his peers and certainly on the up-and-up.

The New Yorker says the two guys held her down on a bed at a party but she successfully fought them off.

New Yorker really needs to learn how to sell this stuff:

"...she successfully beat them off."
