I suspect this is going to be important.

I've been saying for a long time that Vladimir Putin is basically a Bond villain.

. . .problem is, we missed the best opportunity for a Bond moment. . .

We are in the worst Bond movie Timeline

There are a million billion trillion alternate universes out there.  99% of them suck a lot less than this one.

Lazenby was sub-par, but OHMSS was a good film.

Perhaps those police are now looking for a quantum of solace, are perhaps they wish to simply die another day.

Sometimes I like to imagine ... what if this were the best timeline?  Things could have been so much worse, right?  What if all other possible outcomes are worse?

Sobering.

Dr Busby has previously accused the U.S of using depleted uranium weapons in Iraq causing cancer and birth defects.
He has also appeared in YouTube videos blaming the assassination plot to poison former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia with the nerve agent Novichok as a 'false flag' operation.
He believes the pair were really targeted by Britain or the U.S, who he has accused of trying to frame Russia because they fear President Vladimir Putin is beginning to break up the American monopoly on oil.
In one video he says: 'Just to make it perfectly clear, there's no way that there's any proof that the material that poisoned the Skripals came from Russia.'

Oh just fark off to russia already you headcase.

Then, maybe we're in The World is not Enough... there's a bullet lodged in Trump's brain which makes him unable to feel shame and it is slowly moving along, damaging his other senses, and making him derpier as it continues to damage his brain.

"Trump" might be two kids in a fat suit, one sitting on the other's shoulders, and both woozy from heat exhaustion and too much sugar. The immaturity level and cartoonishness sure seems like Trump could just be a Bart Simpson prank.

Simpsons didn't "predict" the Trump Presidency, they planned it out as a long game viral marketing stunt.

LL316: Honest question - Is Russia TRYING to start a war?  At most points in human history, England would have already bombed the shiat out of them for what they've done.

It is rare that a country deliberately tries to start a war. Germany did it in 1939, Japan in 1941 (on top of the simmering war in China, that is). But usually countries paint themselves into a corner. If the statements of the leaders are to be believed, nobody, literally nobody in June 1914 believed that war would happen. It was unthinkable to them. Even right up to the end of July nearly everyone clung to that delusion. When Wilhelm received a copy of the note Austria had delivered to the Serbs, he said to his minister of war, "That's a pretty strong note" and the minister said, "Yes, and it means war." The Kaiser still didn't believe it. The French, English and Russians didn't believe it. They just kept right on painting until Austria declared war on Serbia and then with the dominoes.

I don't believe Putin wants a widespread war. It's possible that he has gone insane, but that would be a requirement. He appears to me to be ruthless and greedy, but someone who wants to enjoy the spoils. I see no signs of apres moi la deluge.

However he is certainly taking huge risks; he's walking backwards and painting.

Pretty much the inverse of Brosnan, then.

He was a damn good Bond, but the movies were mediocre at best. And on that note, Brosnan is the Nicolas Cage of Bond actors: the movies he's in largely sucked, but did not suck because of him.

There was the article about the NRA and the NRA-ILA illegally contributing to an election. The headline here called them a "political action committee" which neither are, didn't mention either by name, and was greenlit late last night.

Bideford?  That's where part of my family comes from!! Portledge Manor!

The family was given the property after the Norman conquest.  Supposedly, there was a male occupant of the family on the property from the mid-13th century through 1959.

It's on my bucket list to see one day.
