Republican?

Yup, Republican.

Good on those staffers. The world deserves to know when people who want to manage the public's money are really shysters and con artists.

One was the TV edit, it still counts. That made the scene sooo weird.

AquaTatanka: Too bad this didn't happen to Trump.

I suspect a large number of people who voted for him looked at the endless string of lawsuits he's faced for shirking on bills and thought "Only someone really successful could get sued that many times! They're all just jealous of his success!"

Ok, i seriously don't want to bsab because i loathe that stupid shiat, but has there ever been a situation where a dem candidate has done this with their staffers?

So a pretty typical republican "businessman"

GardenWeasel: Republican?

Yup, Republican.

This is why I will always vote Republican. They find businessmen who know how to make and keep a budget. The don't go off spending money they don't have. They know the risks of debt and know the value of savings.1

1 - please note both reality and history dispute the above

I guarantee it.  Duplicity isn't exclusive to either party.

When I ran a radio station I can't tell you how many political candidates would whine "why do I have to pay up front for my commercials?"

I'm afraid this is, in fact, a BSAB.  If you really need to ask such questions, at least have the decency to approach it form the assumption that it's never happened.

The older I get the more stupid people like this I see. Then I think how that wasn't a problem when I was growing up but at that time I didn't have the Internet and people didn't have the media saturation we do today. That gets me angry that people hid this from me as I was growing up because now it seems like something we celebrate and accept by rewarding people who do this crap. (See Donald Trump)

Almost certainly. The Republican party doesn't have a monopoly on colossal shiatbags. Democrats can be too.

Though its required if you're a Republican.

Does The Clinton's body count ring any bells?

He's running for Lt Gov of CA?  And he's GOP?  And he's at least 1.1 million dollars in the hole?

That's quite the fail for a race you were never going to win.  There must be another reason he's going through that much cash.  Did he have a relative die recently that left him in their will?

Also, that's funny but ineffective. The slice of his supporters that not only know how to read but would also seek out the task don't consider corporate style theft a problem, if anythiung it's a qualification.

I was hoping this had to do with Claudia Tenney. God I loathe that piece of shiat. Let's ban sanctuary cities, then hold a fund raiser in one of the largest ones in central NY State.

I'm sure there has been. And they need to be found and shamed for it as well.
Time to start holding those in power to higher standards no matter what their politics.

FTFA: "Majority Strategies, a prominent Republican consulting firm that helped run Harris' digital operation, took action. Using administrator access that it retained from the campaign, the firm changed Harris campaign's website and social media pages to advertise Harris's alleged refusal to make his campaign vendors whole."

A Republican consulting firm, who at one time supported this abject deadbeat, got stiffed for over a million bucks and is now reduced to publicly shaming their client because they know they will never see a dime.

This is what I call a true win-win situation.

Bill Nelson has his campaign staff as "independent contractors" so he can skirt on paying any taxes, providing health insurance, etc.

But I'm sure lots of people do that.

The definition of fiscal responsibility is not writing checks to the little guy.  You can give billions in tax breaks and subsidies to profitable industries and there's no problem, but give a poor person $100 in food stamps?  That's the kind of irresponsibility that drives the entire country to ruin.

Historians (if there are any in the future) are going to wonder why people put up with this shiat for so long.
