Also, screw Georgia.   They closed every exit on I-95 as Floridians were returning home after Hurricane Irma last year.   Georgia Highway Patrol can suck it

Well, that's mighty wh Southern of them.

And then, thousands of voices, in unison, cried out: "Sh*tter's full!"

More likely they can camp in traffic in and around Atlanta. Like usual.

So, what's going to happen when the storm tracks farther south than expected?

The hurricane wasn't punishment enough subby?

Georgia state parks are allowing evacuees along with their pets as well.

It seems you've thought a lot about this.  You seem to have be Georgia on your mind.

You can only make left turns to get there.

Yeah, really mean of them to keep people out of severely flooded areas like that.  What assholes.

"Glynn County in Georgia has "extreme flooding" from Irma, which has necessitated closing exits, law enforcement said."

From looking at the radar here on Charlottte I'm not the least bit scared though apparently grocery stores are overrun.

Man, camping in my tear drop at a Nascar track is on my bucket list too. Wonder if they check ID's at the gate?

Probably won't get there from San Diego before it's all over.

Stay Safe right coasters.

They didn't want the devil to come down to Georgia is my guess.

I see a huge party in the future.  Went once to Atlanta Speedway for a NASCAR race and the infield was a real Bacchanalia experience.

If you travel about 2 more hours west. There's a nice gay campground in Steel, Alabama. With full TV hookups, tent camping, and several cabins...some 'primitive' others with full bath/kitchen.

It only took a couple inches of water from overwash covering patches of road in one spot to reduce traffic leaving Hatteras Island to 5 mph.

They need to go ahead and hold an ad hoc race. "Race what ya brung!" It'd be awesome!

What's a "Hurricane Florence can camp", and why do people need to evacuate from it?

2018-09-11 05:46:48 PM
Already called my parents.  They don't expect anything more than heavy rain where they're at, but they'll be at my door if it gets bad.

Flooding.  See my post right above yours for a link to an article.

I-95 has 25 exits in Georgia and "closed every exit" translated to reality is "They closed all 8 exits on a 35 mile span"

I worked overnight infield during races at the track for over 10 years. I'm going to guess they will be checking ID's at the gate. If your ID is not from the evac area, they probably won't let you in without a real close inspection.  Also; the shiat I've seen in the infield?  NDA is signed before you can work there - I saw nothing. absolutely nothing happened...

I had my 99 buick lesabre on there once :)  I still laugh about it! stupid huh?

Rental of Atlanta Motor Speedway is $14,500 per day. Daytona is $33,000 per day
This is 2017 pricing.  No one gets on the track without stroking a check...
/dunno what Charlotte fees are

Will they open up Brainless Fat France's pillow fort and private reserve at the track?

I road a 2004 Harley Road Glide around it with my GF on the pillion seat.  Great fun but the tar road snakes were warm and a little squirrley.

All 25 were closed.   Luckily I bought gas BEFORE I entered the state.   Not so lucky for several others that had to park on the highway.    From now on I buy NOTHING in Georgia.   Not even gas
