Hoover says 'MORNIN!!!!'

One of my neighbors said 'he needs to lose weight'.  mmmm he is 13 and has pulmonary fibrosis.  then she told me that his being heavy caused that!  mmmm, no.  They do not know the cause.

sigh...  Hoover is a happy dog.  Except when that mean orange cat Forry comes up and rubs up against him.

I do not meant to violate any rules, and there were no replies/comments when I mentioned this previously, but if it is wrong then mod please remove....

The rescue I volunteer with and foster for does a calendar drive every year, it is our most meaningful fundraiser and all donations go to the rescue and is used entirely on the dogs.
This is one of the facebook adds (profile pics) we use starring my boy Bender...
img.fark.netView Full Size

If there is any interest, the calendar features  dogs in our rescue, our volunteers send us their pics and make a donation so we can get it printed, this year we are featuring success stories of our fosters that have had special or difficult experiences the last couple years. So if this is okay I will add a comment later with a link, if it is not ok let me know.

Frenzy the majestic min pin went to the Rainbow Bridge 3 months ago, but I still miss him every day. I am sure his ghost still protects us, because we have not been murdered by the mailman, UPS/FedEx guy, and squirrels that he kept at bay with his fierce borking.

I'll be darned, my link for Woofday made the cut.  Figured we have enough snow dog lovers it might get some traction. Here's a picture from Arya's first snow.

We didn't get any single snow deeper than about 4" last year and this was it.  It was heavy and wet, not really powdery so I can't say she was terribly impressed.

WTF is it with companies that don't put the city or region they serve on their website?

My region has an area called Snow Mountain Ranch too and we have sled dogs..

Man I hate bad web.

He was by objective standards kind of a terrible pet.  He was a rescue.  He didn't play with any toys, he didn't like to be petted or handled very much, and getting a doggo kiss was a once-or-twice a year event.

You knew that he loved you when he tolerated your presence, or if he howled piteously when you left the house.  Even hoomans he loved got a mandatory, half-hearted quiet growl with petting him or picking him up, but you knew it was just for show.

Actually, now that I think about it, he might have had cat software installed on top of the standard dog hardware and OS.  Hmm.

I love the snow puppers, but I live in Dallas, so I settle for short coated doggos.

It has been raining on and off for a week and a half. Here is Gambit's pining pose:

I understand.   My Arya is from Oklahoma originally.  I still think snow confuses her a bit.  We were way below normal on snowfall last winter and as it was her first winter away from OK, I imagine she had basically no snow experience to speak of prior to coming to Denver given she just turned 2.

I'm very sorry for the loss of Frenzy.  May his tail wag for you on the plains of Bifrost.
