Dammit... I submitted this one, only the MSNBC.com article.

Oh well. It's still

Gotta love those crazy pants.
2002-01-18 03:29:12 PM
Claymation blows.
2002-01-18 03:29:45 PM
2002-01-18 03:31:07 PM
One of the inventions should be something to stop Grommit from humping Wallace's leg like a drunken Rhesus monkey.
2002-01-18 03:35:42 PM
Wallace and Gromit Claymation rocks my socks.

Kentucky Slide Chicken had W&G toys for a short while and my car window sports a miniture of Wallace in his mechanical trousers, affixed with a suction cup.

Like R&B and (only) the first few R&S, this is sophisticated humour in a very silly format.

Yeah, I submitted this a few days ago, too, Demosthenes. Ah, well...there's lotsa sources, otherwise the web wouldn't be very web-like, would it?

By the way, are you an Orson Scott Card fan? I hear they're dropping the Demosthenes and (what was the other one's name?) sub-plot from the Ender's Game screenplay....sux.
2002-01-18 03:43:42 PM
Wallace & Gromit=ass
2002-01-18 03:45:24 PM
An engineer that doesn't like wallace and grommit?

I love Wallace and Grommit.
2002-01-18 03:46:46 PM
crackin toast grommit ...
2002-01-18 03:47:11 PM
I keep hearing about W&G but I really have no idea what/who they are, and for some reason I have no desire to learn. However, I have been watching the Ren & Stimpy reruns on VH1, now THAT's entertainment. I wish I still had my Ren stuffed animal, he'd fart when you squeeze him.

Why don't you pricks quit trolling the damned comments. If you don't like Wallace & Grommit shut yer damned yaps and let those of use who enjoy quality entertainment enjoy ourselves.
2002-01-18 03:50:45 PM

I've heard about no fewer than four separate attempts at making "Ender's Game" into a film over the past year and a half... frankly, I'll believe one when I see a fricken trailer for the movie.

And yes, I do enjoy Card's work. That's where I got the idea for my login.
2002-01-18 03:53:12 PM
Not liking something is not the same as trolling. I never said, for example, that anyone who likes W&G sucks. That would be trolling.
2002-01-18 03:53:20 PM
Oh, and the other online alias in "Ender's Game" was Locke. Ender's sister Valentine wrote for the "Demosthenes" essays, and Peter wrote Locke, until after the time frame of the bugger war that Ender won... after that, Valentine went off-world with Ender and Peter took over writing for both Demosthenes AND Locke. It's part of how he came to power in the next couple of decades on Earth.

What was the Orson Scott Card book about Tecumseh? I kinda dug that back in the day...
2002-01-18 03:57:36 PM
I don't see how Ender's Game could be made into a movie in any recognizable form. They'd have to throw out most of the elements that made the novel unique in the first place. We'd probably end up with Ender being a teenager and taking on the Buggers personally. And saying "Yippee!" while he does it.
2002-01-18 04:00:08 PM
woo ! hoo ! Pass the Stilton !
2002-01-18 04:01:54 PM
Zylon: You're probably right. I hope they just let sleeping dogs lie, and leave us with "Ender's Game" the way it was intended to be: a novel.
2002-01-18 04:02:26 PM
Scoots: I bet you're thinking of the Alvin Maker books. I think the Tecumseh one was Red Prophet.
2002-01-18 04:02:42 PM
Angry Kid, a short film series on www.atomfilms.com is some of the funniest shiat I've seen in a while. Free membership, check it out.
2002-01-18 04:03:21 PM
All I ask is that it's not on quicktime.
2002-01-18 04:05:56 PM
The new Orson Scott Card books (a continuation of the Ender's Game story) are pretty good... I highly recommend them. Only two new ones are out now ("Ender's Shadow" and "Shadow of the Hegemon"), but the third and fourth are both supposed to come out in hardcover this year. They follow Bean through the events that follow the bugger war and the struggle for dominance of Earth. Pretty good reading.
2002-01-18 04:11:13 PM
Who cares.
2002-01-18 04:12:25 PM
"It's the wrong trousers, Grommit!"
2002-01-18 04:12:42 PM
"But, I don't want to be a pot-pie."
2002-01-18 04:16:34 PM
Eli: People who like Wallace & Gromit care. Dumbass.

And now you know...the rest of the story. Good day.
2002-01-18 04:18:14 PM
If you want to see the shorts, they're all on

2002-01-18 04:19:03 PM

2002-01-18 04:19:09 PM

2002-01-18 04:35:33 PM
Cracking news, Grommit!
2002-01-18 04:38:20 PM
I wonder... If I stand in line to wait for tickets NOW for the Wallace and Grommit movie, will radio stations send me prostitutes, too? Or is this only for Star Wars fans?
2002-01-18 04:41:36 PM
Superjoe See 01-18-02 03:53:12 PM Scoots. Then you'll understand my comment. People who get so upset about a television show are of no use to me. Actually I like Wallace and Grommet, but who cares?
2002-01-18 04:43:06 PM
Eli Then don't post anything.
2002-01-18 04:44:40 PM
Tostfeld Thanks for your suggestion. Now go to hell.
2002-01-18 04:47:33 PM
This is whacking good spiff spiff.
2002-01-18 04:48:30 PM
Wallace and Grommit are cool. I think the same people did the "Chicken Run" movie. I didn't care for that.
2002-01-18 04:53:34 PM
How does this make it onto Fark?
2002-01-18 05:04:45 PM
With the number of people complaining on this thread, I can't help but wonder why you're all here anyway. If you don't like the links, and if you don't like Wallace and Grommit in particular, go somewhere else.
2002-01-18 05:08:41 PM
Slightly related, since it was N. Park's studio (Or co, I don't really know) Did anyone see "Angry Kid" at Spike & Mike? Absolutly love claymation.
2002-01-18 05:24:23 PM
Blackom: As long a thay were male prostitutes ehhh....not that I have a problem with that or anything. I just thought everyone might like to know.
2002-01-18 05:26:16 PM
Yes. Javaman. We should be censored.

Hey dumbasses! This is a place to give opinions about articles submitted. Maybe if you're to fragile to hear bad comments about your favorite shows, YOU should leave. Fricken whine-asses.
2002-01-18 05:32:27 PM
it 12 short film, 1 minute long each.

And yes, he did "Chicken Run" and "Creature Comforts" a series of "inreviews" with animals in in the London zoo. He's also done ads for Chevron and Certa Matresses.
2002-01-18 05:32:40 PM
"Online entertainment is not dead..." These Hollywood types have no understanding of entertainment and the Internet It's all farking entertainment to me! More to the farking point, haven't they ever heard of newgrounds and Flash Film is dead.
2002-01-18 05:38:34 PM
Scarneck: Actually, I'm not much of a fan myself. My point had nothing to do with censorship. My point, once again, is that rather than feeling the need to complain about every farking thing you read, you might find something more enjoyable to do with you time. I agree that people should be voiceing their opinions, however, one does get tired of reading again and again how horrible the posts on Fark are.
