There is this thing where the creepier a clown tries to be, the less creepy it is.

So, a straight up clown - Curry in this case - is scarier.

i don't know which is worse for self-esteem, getting sucked into a sewer or being rejected even by a child-eating clown

Just goes to show, even when you have the slickest cinematography and all the latest special effects at your disposal, you can still end up with an inferior movie as a result of an uninspiring performance.

Tim Curry left some very large clown shoes to fill.

I'm pleased the boy was rescued, but I've got a complaint about the article.
Why do they always point out that the victim in a situation is/was "relieved" they were rescued?
I mean, how many times have you ever heard a victim exclaim, "damn it all! They rescued me! Those turdhats saved my life! I'm so upset about this!"?
Why do they have to report that victims were grateful or relieved?
It also irks me when a reporter asks "so what were you feeling/thinking when (this or that) happened and you were saved?"

Why? Why?

I concur!
I happen to like clowns, much to my clown phobic mother back when I was a kid.
The creepy ones are a bit disconcerting, but only Curry can give me the fear chills! He's kinda creepy in regular form. He's just a strangely designed person, but I like him. Just not in murderer clown form. :/

Sorry, I left out " much to the CHAGRIN of my clown phobic mom" in the statement about my mom

John Wayne Gacy is still the scariest clown. And he smelled funny.

Agreed. To me he is scarier because he is approachable. He could lure a child in. New Pennywise gives off a pedo vibe and is off putting. Plus i hate the blurry run at the camera "scares". Not a terrible film, but way overhyped

A manhole cover located 30 ft downstream from the incident and that was the last place you looked? And one of the rescuers was just standing there on top of it? Wtf.

I wondered what would be the first national story from Harrison. At least it ended well.

/Still should be called "Darboy"
