American diplomacy:

All the people standing around are the fark posters, complaining about how this happened. The one guy farted really loud and said "who farted?!?" And then an argument broke out in the crowd about who farted, while other tried to ignore them and have a calm conversation about trainwrecks and the social causes of trainwrecks, before be acused of being the ones who farted, which somehow caused the trainwreck in the first place.

And then after a when everyone gets send home and has mashed potatoes and complains about people arguing about who farted, but none of their family was at the trainwreck and don't care and wish everyone would just stop talking about trumping (by which I mean farts kind of).

Stateside, the Trump regime can point their fingers and decry partisan obstruction. With the rest of the world, no dice.

EVERYone should point and laugh.
Put that picture everywhere he can see it.
Lead all honest media with the world pointing, laughing at the yuuuge Moran.

Make it evident the if he looks in any mirror, the image reflected back is the world pointing and laughing.

He should be painted as he is. Out of shape, stupid, afraid, greedy, and overcompensating.

He should not be able to escape the image. As if the portrait of Dorian Grey had clung to his very vanity and now sits before him, everywhere he turns. The narcisis image burning back at him with the jeers ringing in his ears as if brought on by a timpany company manned by the most aggressive taiko drummers the world can breed.

If you are not part of this domain of shattering his world of smoke and mirrors with mirrors of your own making, then you are as culpable as he in the deaths of Americans in Puerto Rico, the deaths of children in internment camps, the losses in economic freedom, the destruction of trade balance, and the complete shame that this buffoon has brought upon our nation.

We're not going to have a diplomatic corps soon enough.

Frankly, the partisan obstruction excuse never flies with me. You elected a leader, you should reasonably expect them to lead. Saying that some people are deliberately trying to fark them over is admitting failure, on some level.

And yes, before the obligatory troll comes in and says, "like Barack Obama?! Hurr hurr hurr," yes, Obama too.

Huntsman, like any other ambassador in his position, should resign. If he left now, he would do so with his integrity, and the prospects of a political future, intact-something that can't be said of many other high-ranking officials, who have dunked themselves in the swamp too many times to walk away untainted.

He won't. Like just about everyone else in Donnie's orbit he'll allow his credibility to be strip-mined until he's nothing but a hollow shell.

I knew many US dips during my foreign service days. They were good folks: smart, savvy and great representatives of their country. I can only imagine how they must feel representing the trump administration and witnessing the slow castration of the State Dept.

Pompeo wil save us.

2018-08-10 09:28:48 PM
I imagine our State Dept was slightly compromised when we allowed the Russians to decide Mitt Romney was too anti-Russia, and gave us Rex Tillerson instead. Just my two cents.

2018-08-10 09:32:27 PM
If your top envoy is Pompeo, you start off humiliated.

2018-08-10 09:34:31 PM
Well, Donnie was sort of right about one thing - no one is laughing at him to his face, because they're afraid he's actually crazy enough to nuke them for it.

2018-08-10 09:37:23 PM
What's important is that now the world respects us, unlike during the limp-wristed, weak Obama administration.

[shrug]

This is what 60% of America wanted. The 1/3 that voted for Trump, and the 1/3 that was too apathetic to vote against it.

Happy now? We can only thank what minor god is protecting us that no nation has ACTUALLY taken advantage of the situation, and that our military is really as strong as rumor makes it, that we haven't woken up to someone screaming "THERE'S RUSSIAN FIGHTER JETS OVER I-95!! HOW'D THEY GET PAST OUR DEFENSES!!" yet; or another day of watching airliners crashing into random landmarks across the country.

Could still happen.

So much for all that hoity-toity Big City talk in the ferrin' languages...they'd respect us if we'd just MAKE them speak American, like real people. That's the flaw...Donnie has been just too nice. He hasn't gone over there, and killed all their menfolk, and sent over Our Boys to make them convert like that sweet ass Annie Coulter wanted...

Again, think of how dumb the average American is, and realize that half of them are dumber, and they voted for THIS President...

"Pompeo, a former West Point valedictorian"

Wow did my estimation of West Point valedictorian just plunge off a cliff. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. The navy has become a hotbed for freedum derpitude, especially at the top. But damn, if this fatheaded moron can be a valedictorian, things are really bad. If a war breaks out...*facepalm*

Sigh. And of course, West Point is army, not navy.

If the North Koreans wanted to be particularly mischievous, they could have shaken hands on the deal, dismantled three of their bombs, and said, "We did have five, so this is 60 percent of them."

Sounds like someone is a Farker... What's your fark handle, Mr Kaplan?

So this is what Trumpers think "the world will respect us again" looks like?

Your grammar is bad and the phrase is mashed potatoes and gravy. Like any American would eat starch with out fat on top. Try again komrade.

Remember how very very early on in the Trump administration, like right after they decided to do that harebrained ban on immigration from a bunch of Muslim countries, about 1,000 State Department people, ambassadors and embassy staffers and such, they signed a cable opposing it along a special channel used to communicate dissent. It was the largest mass-signed protest cable in State Department history. And that was within the first few weeks of this White House, if I recall.

And it's only gotten worse since then. Ever worse.

I see your point and I laughed but aside from voting, supporting the campaigns of people we believe in and/or working on our long range shooting skills what are we supposed to do?

Also who the hell farted?

Csb/ I was repairing one of those card reader doors yesterday in this little entry point/waiting room and was all alone. I had deeply enjoyed Mexican food earlier and a bit of its memory escaped through my bum. It was too much for me to stand but I was just about to finish the task.  Then a guy came in to drop off his info for HR and had to suffer in there with me until his escort came to get him. I felt awful for the guy.

It's good to feel empathy for others. It's what society needs.
