Dude, an 8 million dollar property in NYC could be a broom closet with a new slop-sink.

Actually, $8MM will still get you a very nice place. Don't take my word for it - go online. Corocoran.com will do.

I mean, if I had a 9 figure net worth I could spend my time picking up cans too. Or anything else I wanted.

But, picking up cans is less profitable than my current job.

I've been following the adventures of Trash Car. This lady owns several buildings about 3 blocks from my apartment which are worth quite a lot (and they are on a very nice block). But as they say, crazy is as crazy does.

... also, the Post didn't really do their homework at all for this piece. There is no "Chicago University" but there is "University of Chicago" and this lady got her MBA from Chicago GSB (now known as Booth).

Also, this car was in Park Slope for ages, then was towed a few months ago before it reappeared in Prospect Heights.

I worked with a lady like this. Batshiat crazy, smelled, desk was literally a pile of meaningless paper and her car looked like this ladies. But she owned several million in DC property (not had loans on but owned) 20 years ago. People are weird.

How can she rationalize paying taxes on buildings that generate no occupancy income? She's got THAT much disposable cash? It seems like it almost ought to be a crime in NYC to own beautiful brownstones that are trashy and uninhabitable inside.

Why can't i have millions of dollars to rationalize my eccentric nature.

Some people have all the luck.

What's the saying? Something like "Money talks, wealth roots through your trash at night".

You do you, garbage lady.

People don't understand how the English language works. If you have less than 7 figures net worth, you're crazy. Over, you're eccentric. More than 8, you've got a childlike sense of whimsy.

"Eccentric" = mental illness.

Not wealthy + batshiat crazy==batshiat crazy
