Uncharted is turning out like The Witcher series. I regret not playing them when they first came out.

And you can play them even betterer with the The Nathan Drake Collection.

And don't sleep on The Lost Legacy, that was pretty fun too as derivative as it was.

A damn good action platformer that kept getting better with each sequel.

I'd say I can play them tomorrow, too, but the way things are these days...

I like the Uncharted games- but I view them as kind of a guilty pleasure. They're extremely derivative, really silly, and they have huge gameplay issues (I can't even describe how DONE with the climbing I was by part 4). I just happen to adore that globe-trotting adventure stuff so much so that I can overlook the flaws. I've been against a movie version because the games are basically just interactive versions of Indiana Jones (or perhaps more appropriately, Sahara, or The Mummy).

All that having been said...that was really good. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. When it ended, I was actually really disappointed that there wasn't more.  So consider me converted.  Get these guys a budget!

I'd daresay he's almost aged out of the part at this point but yeah, he was definitely one of the people they were thinking of when they made the series

The PS4 is worth every penny, especially with the exclusives that have. Horizon Zero Dawn is another game that is ridiculously fun once you get past the learning curve.

Just picked that up, along with The Last of Us.

Not sure why, though, as I'm still eyes-deep into Skyrim, so it's going to be a loooong time before I start either of those.

That was neat. Character manerisms right down to Drakes's stupid grin after trying to joke with his capters and Sully grunting every time he gets in a car.

Although, because of the voice, i cant really see anyone but claudia black reprising chloe, even if just a cameo.

Am I the only one who recognizes Ernie Reyes Jr. playing El Tigre?! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills that nobody else has mentioned it anywhere I've looked. Maybe it's just me, but I was the biggest fanboy for Reyes Jr. when I was a kid around the same age as him. He was the film and TV martial arts golden child, FFS.

I didn't like Uncharted, mostly because I'm not a fan of the whole Indiana Jones treasure hunter genre, but I like Nathan Fillion and enjoyed the hell out of this.

It could actually work as a movie on several levels. You bring in the Uncharted fans, the gamers in general, fans of the treasure hunting adventure genre, and the nerds like me who revere Nathan no matter what he's in. All in one swoop. Give it a sensible Deadpool style budget and you've got almost guaranteed return.

I think that Deadpool has opened some kind of gate. Film some proof of concept for your project, test the reaction with the fans, and try to use it to get your project greenlit.

Although I have difficulties to believe that there'll be some huge calls to get this movie made, like for DP.

I think this is the first time I've watched a film and cried out, "that looks JUST like the video game!" and it's been a good thing.

I've played every Uncharted game (even Eye of Indra, The Golden Abyss and the mobile one), and while 2 and 4 are definitely the best in the series, they're all amazingly good. Anyone who has a Ps4 should play through the core games. Uncharted 4 is incredibly rewarding if you've played the rest of the series.

I watched it yesterday, it was the stupidest thing I've seen recently.   Starts off with a Land Rover Discovery commercial, ends with a Jeep commercial.  Great, he appears to have lost some weight.  He's still an old dude playing a young streetfighter.  Look, a ridiculously scripted fight scene where he appears to be an agile ninja, fighting comically inept bad guys.  Followed by a scene of a limpy old guy painfully and un-athletically jogging across the set, through a hail of automatic weapon fire.

Uhm, his costume was really good, I guess?  I'm just not seeing why the love here.

The humor, dialogue and story set up we're on point. The action scenes were a little corny but that fits in with Uncharted. And so what if he's a little old...it's a fan film of better quality than most and he still worked well. I don't get why you hate it so much...it's not like you spent  money to watch it.

I liked it. It looks like a mash up of kids playing with a video camera recreating their favorite game. Except that they have a multi million dollar budget, and its filled with people you have seen on the screen before.

Little things drop my out of my suspension of disbelief mode.  I probably hated it more because the prior reviews were all "It's amazeballs!"  Then I saw product placement, poor directing, an old guy doing silly stuff, a guy with two knives being so comically stupid that he just leaned forward against the hand on his forehead and didn't bother stabbing at his arm, brown people getting killed, some pointless download that was never necessary except as a plot device.

Yeah, the costumes and setting were kind of neat, and the main bad guy had a great bad guy voice.  I didn't even find the dialogue witty or convincing.  It makes me wonder if it's based on the game, if the game really sucks as well.  As for fan film? Yeah, right.  That was a well funded production.

Also, I miss Firefly.

I liked it, fan of the games already and still play UC4 multiplayer a lot.

I thought there were murmurs of a movie starring Tom Holland as a young Drake already though. Not that I'm super keen on the idea of that even if the games had Young Drake bits.

I'm curious as to what you consider old? As an example Cruise is 56 & still doing MI movies, The Rock is 46 (one year younger than Fillion) & still doing action movies. Here are a few more:

Jet Li - 55

Jason Statham - 50

Terry Crews - 49

Idris Elba - 45

Robert Downey Jr. - 53

Yes, I consider all of these guys too old for the action flick genre.  Nothing is worse than seeing a miniature old Michael Chicklas playing a tough guy.  If they're a big intimidating guy, then fine, they can play a big intimidating guy, but seriously cast someone capable of sprinting, flying jump kicking, and such.  Get the elders out of these roles.   As an old guy myself, even in half decent shape, I find these casting choices laughable.
