We're eventually going to get to the part where there's actual evidence that Strzok criminally conspired to wrongfully investigate, aren't we?

I don't think the words they are saying actually matter -- even to them. They are just cranking the handle on their outrage machine. The noises that come out are random and irrelevant. And they certainly aren't paying attention to the responses they get.

Maybe voters will start to notice, but I'm not holding my breath.

'Bout damn time Democrats stopped edging to the right to appease those motherf*ckers and started calling them out publicly on their bullshiat.  Hopefully they can start to help shape the narrative.

That. Publicly ridicule, deride, and laugh at Trump and all his ilk.

It's not like they don't deserve it.

Don't let them control anything, be it a conversation or the United States government.

I'm still wondering how his personal text messages became public in the first place. Though it is a wonderful coincidence that they managed to destroy the career of the government's top expert on Russian intelligence operations.

Work phone texts whose publication had political payoff for the Republicans. This is entirely a show in order to minimize the possibility that Trump's election be illegitimate, so don't expect any consistent standards.

I know how I'd have answered the, "What does a Trump supporter smell like?" question...

"Well, that depends, Congressman...  what cheap aftershave did you put on this morning?"

Yeah, it would have been contempt.  But it would be worth it.

Here's the thing: once Trump took the oath of office it DOESN'T MATTER if his election is valid or not. Just like all the bullshiatt about Obama's birf certificate.

Once a president is sworn in, there are only two mechanisms by which he may be constitutionally removed; and "illegal election" isn't one of them, unless it can be shown that the President personally contrived the elections results.

Just like all the kerfuffle about Trump being "investigated "--he wasn't until he started poking around where he didn't need to. Because Trump has to have everything be about him, even when it is detrimental to himself.

While at college during the summer I sat alone in my room watching hours upon hours of the Watergate hearings. I had never seen anything like it and found it fascinating and riveting.

Today's proceedings with Peter Strozk are certainly fascinating but for many different reasons. The GOP Congresscritters have covered themselves in absolute shame.

I suspect if you asked a Trumpanze "who 'won' today?" they would have a very different take.

Its also going to be their undoing. What are the odds that if the #2 guy in the FBI Strozk was using his work cell to text Page that the guys in the NY field office were smart enough not to use their fed issued devices ?

Im gonna bet NIL. I bet when the report about that which is still due and has not completed is going to show a very interesting picture of the FBI NY office and who they were conspiring with prior to the election RE Guiliani and that other clown

It's not about that. It's about "influencing the jury," because when it comes time to impeach Donnie, and it is coming, the House GOP want some justification, no matter how flimsy or ludicrous, on which to cling when they pervert the duty of Congress to prosecute the high crimes and misdemeanors of the President of the United States.

This was theater, pure and simple, meant to manufacture doubt not just in the information at hand, but in the federal government as a whole. This is "both sides are bad" writ large, with an extra helping of "we'll burn it all down if it means staying in power."

And the more they try, the worse it looks for the House GOP. They came out of today's hearing looking like desperate fools, wincing every time the clock ticks, knowing full well that if they don't do the bidding of their master, the entire GOP might well pack up and sit out the next six to ten years.

This hearing is surreal. Good lord. It was so nice when Goodlatte snapped and Nadler calmly said "no I do not". They're terrible at being good at being corrupt little shiatweasels. Just spoiled brats acting like they deserve everything because.

But! That being said. It certainly gives me hope for the future since it's clear the Republicans have nary a leg to stand on.

I think Gryfalcon means that for practical purposes it doesn't matter, since our options for unseating a sitting POTUS are explicitly laid out in law. Not that it doesn't matter as a matter of principle.

I think a serious impeachment attempt is inevitable. The whole point of what we've been seeing for the past few weeks, since Mueller made his timeline more concrete, is to ensure that attempt fails (and, barring that, improve the chances of keeping the more polarized House GOP members in their seats after mid-terms.)

That's why McConnell runs like a hare when his constituents show up to harangue him. That's why Trey Gowdy is once again grandstanding in yet another futile farking House committee while the GOP keep glossing over the real, mounting problems facing this country. That's why we have representatives in swing states dancing on the teevee while blowing their dogwhistles. That's why they're producing the dog-and-pony show we saw today. It's why they're combining their usual campaign bullshiat with a blatant attempt to "sway the jury" (read "Congress") with regards to impeachment, even going so far as to undermine the authority and duty of multiple offices & departments in the federal government.

They're going for broke, because they fear November as much, if not more, than they fear a Trump impeachment vote on the floor.

Is this the right thread? I made another post about genitalia recently is why I ask.

FWIW I love used genitals. The more the owner knows how to use its own genitals the better.

I even have a trick for defeating the male refractory period.
