TFA: Davis reached out to Glitz Bridal in Bellevue to see if they would donate a dress. When the business said yes, so did Stanley ... Davis said each year, Glitz Bridal gives out a free dress to veterans or first responders. She received one of these dresses three years ago. This year, the business made an exception to give a dress to Stanley as well.

So she didn't actually buy a dress for her, but she convinced someone else to do so.  I mean, it's nice of her to find the bride a free dress, I guess.

On one hand, it's nice to see some good news about decent human behavior.

On the other hand, we've reached a point where decent human behavior now makes the news.

"Design a wedding dress for a Waffle House waitress" seems ripe for a photoshop contest.

A person did something nice for another person as a thank you.

This is very cool.

I wish they hadn't told the press.

Decent Human behavior should be the basic NORM of the news.

That's how I prefer to believe this magical event began.

There is still a lot of decency we don't hear about.

"We've reached a point where decent behavior 'now' makes the news?"

What planet are you living on? There's good news shared all the time, it just doesn't get as much notice as all the horrible things...or cat videos.

Cheesy dress. What if the bride would've preferred to choose her own dress like every bride? No good deed (if telling patrons to move their asses) goes unpunished.

It makes the news quite a lot. It only makes it to FARK sometimes. Good news seldom has much snark or Trump involved,

Isn't posting stuff on facebook and telling everyone about everything that happens in your life what facebook is all about?
