...you know it's so much easier winning when you just declare it and move on. If only Obama had realized this HE could have been the winningest President EVAR, but he was just to scared to claim victory no matter the result...

Well, he did make Best Korea throw aways it's nukes. And he did get rid of all that unfair trade using tariffs.
And he proved farmers were poor until just 18 months ago when things turned around thanks to him.

The miracles are unceasing.

Probably. The whole world knows he's a blowhard with zero attention span. I'm pretty sure the other world leaders were aware of the near unanimous vote in Congress reaffirming support for NATO.

Asked if he would change his tune and tweet something else as he headed to England aboard Air Force One, Trump said, "that's other people that do that."

"I don't. I'm very consistent. I'm a very stable genius," he said.

Why did I read that in Rain Man's voice?

Macron:

"People, the best, brightest people, ask me 'It's 2018 - where are the jet packs?' And I tell them, I say right back at them, 'NATO. NATO took them. It's all NATO' If we didn't have to fund 300 percent - 3... hundeeered.... peercent - 300 percent - of NATO's budget, then yes, we'd have jet packs. Like the Jetsons. Exactly like the Jetsons. I never liked that robot. We won't have that lady robot. Jetpacks."

Well, there may be an iota of truth to that, so long as "fund schools" is understood to mean "funnel money towards Devos' evil plans".

Actually, I'd say at this point anything short of a Senate vote to impeach may not be strong enough a reaffirmation in USA (country) as a people commitment to NATO. Anything else needs to have a fudge factor of Emperor President Trump does what President Trump does, laws don't matter.

USA has gutted its state department. Even if my government wanted to circumnavigate the single point of contact that President Trump prefers, whom do they reach out to? An intern in charge of the coffee room? USA has become a Wild West unknown. Seemingly President is in charge, but try figuring out of what and where once you factor in for entrenched locals is impossible. For example: is VOICE a thing or did Trump had an early 2017 announcement about nothing or have I suffered brain damage producing hallucinations.

The Total Perspective Vortex derives its picture of the whole Universe on the principle of extrapolated matter analyses.
To explain - since every piece of matter in the Universe is in some way affected by every other piece of matter in the Universe, it is in theory possible to extrapolate the whole of creation - every sun, every planet, their orbits, their composition and their economic and social history from, say, one small piece of fairy cake.
The man who invented the Total Perspective Vortex did so basically in order to annoy his wife.
Trin Tragula - for that was his name - was a dreamer, a thinker, a speculative philosopher or, as his wife would have it, an idiot.
And she would nag him incessantly about the utterly inordinate amount of time he spent staring out into space, or mulling over the mechanics of safety pins, or doing spectrographic analyses of pieces of fairy cake.
"Have some sense of proportion!" she would say, sometimes as often as thirty-eight times in a single day.
And so he built the Total Perspective Vortex - just to show her.
And into one end he plugged the whole of reality as extrapolated from a piece of fairy cake, and into the other end he plugged his wife: so that when he turned it on she saw in one instant the whole infinity of creation and herself in relation to it.
To Trin Tragula's horror, the shock completely annihilated her brain; but to his satisfaction he realized that he had proved conclusively that if life is going to exist in a Universe of this size, then the one thing it cannot afford to have is a sense of proportion.
The door of the Vortex swung open.
From his disembodied mind Gargravarr watched dejectedly. He had rather liked Donald Trump in a strange sort of way. He was clearly a man of many qualities, even if they were mostly bad ones.
He waited for him to flop forwards out of the box, as they all did.
Instead, he stepped out.
"Hi!" he said.
"Trump ..." gasped Gargravarr's mind in amazement.
"Could I have a drink please?" said Donald.
"You ... you ... have been in the Vortex?" stammered Gargravarr.
"You saw me, kid."
"And it was working?"
"Sure was."
"And you saw the whole infinity of creation?"
"Sure. Really neat place, you know that?"
Gargravarr's mind was reeling in astonishment. Had his body been with him it would have sat down heavily with its mouth hanging open.
"And you saw yourself," said Gargravarr, "in relation to it all?"
"Oh, yeah, yeah."
"But ... what did you experience?"
Donald shrugged smugly.
"It just told me what I knew all the time. I'm a really terrific and great guy. Didn't I tell you, baby, I'm Donald Trump!"

There's a plane flying Donald Trump, a preacher and a hippy.  Suddenly, there's a loud noise and the pilot comes out of the cockpit.  "Got some bad news and some worse news.  Bad news:  Seems we suffered a catastrophic failure and the plane is going to crash.  Worse news:  There's only two parachutes not counting the one on my back."  And with that, the pilot jumps out of the plane.

The priest says "I guess we'll have to decide who gets the two parachutes."

Donald Trump stands up and says "I'm the President of the United States and a stable genius.  The decision should be obvious."  And with that, he jumps out of the plane.

The Priest turns to the hippie.  "You can take the last parachute, son.  I'm ready to meet my maker."

Hippie says "No problem, padre.  The stable genius just jumped out of the plane with my backpack."

/old joke

Republican voters want a president who is (or at least pretends to be) only as intelligent as they are.
Republican power-brokers want a president who's easily manipulated into supporting their agenda.

The result is dim-witted presidential candidates and presidents like George W. Bush and Donald Trump.

The difference is W knew his limitations and surrounded himself with people smarter (not more ethical, responsible or honest but they had at least better than a B average in college) than he was and then listened to their advice. He trusted them to provide good advice because they were smarter and had more information than he did. If, and this is a huge if, his advisers had been level-headed and rational we might not have gotten into the mess we got into in Iraq.

Trump has his echo chamber of advisers who keep telling him that all of his ideas are incredible and he goes ahead pushing for whatever thought happened to stray between the last 2 neurons firing in his skull. W was a walking example of the Peter Principle. Trump is Veruca Salt with dementia: a rich spoiled brat who says the most outrageous things and expects everyone to kiss his ass.

Trump had pushed for an increase to 4 percent - about what the US spends.

And something COMPLETELY voluntary. This spending is NOT due to "need", and these other countries need to tell Donnie to print his request on heavy cardstock, fold it until it is nothing but sharp corners, and shove it up his farking ass.
