This might actually create some friction if Donnie isn't getting a cut. His brand is really all he has.

Makes sense, he thinks he's flame-proof.

/I need to find those photos on a non- Facebook source. Trump's image next to a hazard label works for me.

'Approved by Donald Trump': Asbestos sold by Russian company is branded with the president's face

I guess I approve of using his face to denote something is cancerous.

Hey, the exact same scientists who said climate change isn't happening say asbestos is harmless. These were also the same scientists who said tobacco smoke is harmless, and the hole in the ozone layer is just part of a natural cycle, so they have a perfect track record.

Too long and hard to say. Let's abbreviate to "Old Ass Face"

But Trump has long expressed skepticism about its potential health effects after it is applied. In his 1997 book, "The Art of the Comeback," he wrote that he believed that anti-asbestos efforts were "led by the mob."

Obviously, Trump had to pay for asbestos abatement at some point, and since he couldn't work out a way to game the system in his favor in this case, he was obviously ripped off by the mob.

This is completely normal.

Cuz if there's one thing organized crime in the USA hates, it's lax building codes so they can use cheap crappy buildings to sell between shell companies to launder monies.

These "scientists" (aka shills) also said that leaded gasoline is harmless.  Hey, , right?everyone has an opinion and we need to be 'balanced'

The duty of the press should be to call the shills out in the headline or the first sentence of the article.

Seems like if you watch daytime television you see at least two commercials an hour for lawyers wanting to file your asbestos lawsuit.

I thought the argument isn't that climate change isn't happening but that isn't anthropogenic climate change a naturally occurring cycle?

One lawfirm must have had all of their commercials created on the same day or something. The same lady spokesman, same dialog structure, and same screen arrangement and fonts. Just insert new topic for the lawsuit.

Asbestos
Talcum [powder] cancer
Pelvic mesh
Some vaginal thing
Abilify gambling/compulsive

What day of the week is it?

I've been keeping a running list of all the ones I've heard:
1) It isn't happening, so we don't have to do anything about it
2) It is happening, but it's not our fault, and we can't do anything about it
3) It is happening, but we don't believe the consequences are bad for us, so we won't do anything
4) It is happening, but since you can't give us exact perfect predictions as to how bad the consequences will be, we shouldn't do anything
5) It is happening, it is our fault, it will be bad, but I shouldn't have to pay or be inconvenienced in any way to fix it

Because it seems like it is being sold in Russia. Kind of poetic justice if Trump is responsible for a horrible public health problem in Russia.

Second asbestos fun fact, due to the prevalence of serpentine rock formations in California - Californians on average have more asbestos fibers in their lungs than people who live in other states.  More true if you are a bit of a hiker and/or you live in more rural areas in California.

As far is known, such presence isn't dangerous or shows a trend of Californians having higher incidence of asbestos-related diseases just by being around such rocks.

Gah! I have listened to Limbaugh twice. Once must have been right about that day.

He was ranting about "the environmentalists" who caused the World Trade Center to collapse.

The second time, he assured his audience that most lead contamination was from ancient Roman and Greek coin foundries, not gasoline.

There was no third time.

Actually they're also trying to sell it to poor countries. So our kids probably won't be dying from this, but other people's will.

This. In the early 2000's they were saying it's not happening. Then in the late 00's they were saying it's actually global cooling we have to worry about because there was a big spike in the data in 1998 and the overall trend leveled off for a decade. Now that the warming trend has continued over the last ten years or so, they have moved the goalposts to "it's warming b-b-b-but... we don't wanna do anything about it."
