(CBS News)   Lisa Page: *reads twitter* WTF? Of course I'm not refusing to testify before Congress, you chucklef*cks. What part of "I need to reschedule due to a conflict" don't you understand?   ( cbsnews.com) divider line

Hoping Lisa goes with the Fark it in her testimony and says there is abundant evidence of trump taking money and direction from Russia and in her opinion that is treasonous and the reason for her emails. Prior to this administration illegal acts were considered bad and prosecuted.

Odd...TFA says she wasn't afforded the normal process of being allowed to review the documents the committee was going to be presenting and not that she asked them to accommodate her schedule.

Maybe I read it wrong?

Jeffress went on to say that Page simply wanted clarification about the scope of the interview and access to relevant documents.

LOL.  Who does she think she is, Trump?

In fairness, I'd want to know what they were going to be asking about too, so I don't show up woefully unprepared.

But there's a big difference between "I won't show up until you tell me why" and "sure I'll be there, and also why?"

Yeah, I was going for the quick and lazy joke.

Two different situations.  I'm not sure what you are and are not entitled to in preparation for a Congressional hearing.

She and her husband Carter Page are guilty.

Those people have trouble understanding a good many things Lisa. Don't worry about it.

BalugaJoe: She and her husband Carter Page are guilty.

And by God, we're going to find something to charge them with, too.

nope. My fault. I read it wrong. Sentiment remains the same (they're falsely accusing her of trying to dodge a hearing)

1) I don't think they are married or related at all

2) Carter Page is, at best, a "Useful Idiot" to the Russians and, at worst, a "Pro-Kremlin Wackadoodle" according to his ex-business partner. He's in deep with oligarchs and their shady dealings from his time working there, particularly with Rosneft dealing and wanting to stop the sanctions.

Sources:

The *positive* article about him calls him a useful idiot: https://www.the-american-interest.com/2018/02/13/carter-page-useful-idiot/

"Shaun Walker, the Guardian's Russia correspondent, had attended an event given by Page the previous evening. He described Page's PowerPoint presentation as "really weird." "It looked as if it had been done for a Kazakhstan gas conference," Walker said. "He was talking about the United States' attempts to spread democracy, and how disgraceful they were." "

"Page was an odd choice for Trump. In New York in 2013, two Russian intelligence operatives had attempted to recruit Page, an oil-industry consultant, although wiretaps revealed that one of the operatives had described him as an "idiot." The F.B.I. later indicted the two Russian spies, and warned Page that the Kremlin was trying to recruit him, but he continued to pursue oil-and-gas deals in Russia. Ian Bremmer, the president of the Eurasia Group, a risk-consulting firm where Page had previously worked, said that Page had become a pro-Kremlin "wackadoodle." "
