FTFA: He responded by downplaying the significance of his NFL statement. "Colonel Sanders called blacks n-----s," Schnatter allegedly said, before complaining that Sanders never faced public backlash.

Colonel Sanders was a southern man who died in 1980. Pointing out that someone like that got away with racist statements 40+ years ago doesn't help you as much as you think it does, f*ckwit.

John has been booted as CEO in January. He's still chairman of the board, as he probably still owns a controlling interest of the company.

Around the same time, NFL terminated Papa John's sponsorship agreement; that was at least two years overdue.

After learning about the incident, Laundry Service owner Casey Wasserman moved to terminate the company's contract with Papa John's.

LOL. This is a guy that makes his living by helping rich assholes paper over their terrible personalities and even he couldn't stand working for this guy.

Also, have we noticed yet that their pizza is bad?

Oh sure, you make ONE mistake, you write ONE book about the supremacy of the master race, and now suddenly, everyone thinks you're a racist.

Not my problem that buying games on Steam for 90 percent off makes me part of an elite class.

I went to high school with John Schnatter, albeit I don't remember him well. My senior class at Jeff High (Go Red Devils!) had more than 600 kids in it, and he wasn't part of my group of friends. I do remember that he worked at Rocky's Sub Pub, where he learned the pizza trade. One of my closest friends from Jeff is now a high-flying lawyer who mingles in Schnatter's social circle, and he told me that John is a royal jagoff who fully lives up his own backside.

This is the stigginit era, so he'll double down and say, "Yeah I said it! And while you protest, I'll make my pizza even shiattier and overcharge and still get "Real Murricans" to buy it from me!"

That isn't really butter, it's soybean oil and artificial butter flavoring.

Reached by phone on Tuesday, July 10, a representative for Papa John's requested an advance copy of this story. Forbes declined, and the representative said he would withhold comment until after publication. Then, on Wednesday morning, the company sent a statement that did not dispute any of Forbes' reporting

That means they figure Forbes has the audio.

I like that the people he hired to make him seem less racist gave that up after one con call.

Harland Sanders was born in Indiana, but he started his empire with a fried chicken strand in Corbin, Kentucky. Just FYI, Southern Indiana has more in common with Kentucky than it does with the Midwest. Indiana is really 3 states: Northern Kentucky/ Basketball Land/ Southern Illinois.

Nahhh, Indiana cannot fob off it's racists on the south.

Just like you cannot blame all the racism in the GOP on the south.

There is racism all over this country, always has been.

Well, duh. I'm not sure what  point you are trying to make, I'm just saying that despite Indiana being a Midwestern state, the culture of the lower part of the state from I-64 to the Ohio River is much more Kentucky than the rest of the state. People in New Albany or Jeffersonville are much more likely to be Louisville fans than IU.

As far as racism goes, that flag flies from sea to shining sea.

Southern Indiana is Southern. Most of Sanders' time in Indiana was in the Louisville Kentucky area.

Yep. I know an enthusiastic Trump fan who fills her spare time raging online about how Black Lives Matter and "illegals" are destroying the United States.

But she's polite to her Asian neighbor, so how could she possibly be racist?
