(WJAC TV Johnstown)   What was once an 1800s bank will become a brewery and airbnb. Sounds like a great location for a Fark party   ( wjactv.com) divider line

Here in Alabama, they turn middle schools into breweries. And serve damn good beer out of them.

My apartment building used to be offices for a brick factory. The garage nearby was the factory. I want them to name my building the Brick House.

I have a friend who converted an old bank into a banquet hall and event space.  Really good use for that kind of building.

There's a whole chain of brewpubs in converted buildings in Oregon and Washington called McMenamins, schools, churches, a debtor's farm, chapels, office buildings, theaters, and houses. Not all of them have breweries, some are too small, but they all serve beer, wine and ciders produced by the chain. Oh, and a couple distilleries.

My favorite chicken fried steak restaurant is next door to a building that housed a bank robbed by Bonnie & Clyde. Most recently, I think it housed a Subway shop.

There's a historic mansion that was converted into a bank near me. Balances out.
