So instead of clearance-pricing inventory from closed K-Marts, they're trucking that shiat to the nearest Sears

They should be doing the opposite. I don't think anyone has been in a Sears store since the Dubya administration.

Our Sears is still open but not for long, they're even selling off the furnishings. People are looting all the chairs and file cabinets, it's like a white person's LA riots.

The one time I went in one since the 80s was in about 2010 when I found out they had pro-line lawn equipment on clearance 70% off.

Do women actually shop for clothing at either Sears or K-Mart by choice?

Last I checked, there's a Kmart a couple towns north of me, and nearest Sears is in the process of closing.

Like someone pointed out on a previous thread, Sears grew through mail order, and got out when now is the time they could've been the internet ordering leaders.

This concept might work, if the company wasn't run by an Ayn Rand sociopathic devotee named Eddie Lampert who thinks that getting departments to fight each other for sales figures is more productive than having the departments be complimentary to each other.

All the K-Marts around me are gone. In Burnham, I got this nice decoration that was reduced in price at least five times and got it for about a few bucks. It is on top of my toilet.

This past week in the Twin Cities area, prices were marked the UP 10-20% above what the pre-liquidation prices were.

Other than Craftsman hand tools, there hasn't been a good reason to shop at either Sears or KMart for over two decades.

While driving the other day a Lowe's add came on the radidio; it said they were now carrying the Craftsman brand of tools.
Which more than likely means they paid big bucks for the name alone, and the warranty, quality, place of manufacture, etc., probably did not go along with the name. I could be wrong. Not about Lowe's carrying the brand. The rest.

Black & Decker sells Craftsman via Lowe's

Surely one of these years Fark will be right and Sears will go under.

Right?

I know of a grocery store in a small Nebraska town that has an Ace Hardware planted in the middle of it. So the maneuver is not unheard of. Still strange, but not unprecedented. I have no idea how either business is doing. As with many places, the Walmart is squeezing everyone else.

Substitute "Amazon" for "Wal-Mart".

I've received hundreds in free merchandise by playing with their goofy ShopYourWay points program. Still nothing at Sears with buying except a coat I got this past winter, which triggered subquient deals. I drive 30 minutes to the closest Kmart and load up on everything...paper towels, garden supplies basic grocery items, motor oil, towels, etc. and costs me nothing (or at most a dollar if I do my math wrong).

Prolly only does because it's not big enough to support a Wal-Mart.

/But three Dollar Generals is fine.
