"Summer of 4 Ft. 2" should have been on there. Screw your arbitrary listicle constraints.

Fland Canyon over Lisa Gets the Blues? Fark outta here.

Blues should at least be by the halfway point.

There's a pretty strong inverse correlation between the age of the episode and its ranking, so... good work.

Absolutely.  Had to look up the ep name but, yup, that was the one I was thinking of.

Fland Canyon might be the worst Simpsons episode.  Ever!

And Itchy and Scratchy Land.  Where nothing can possiblie go wrong.

I think that the number 1 choice is the rare case where nearly everyone will agree.
Am I wrong?  Cause I think New York is the only other contender and it is in the top 3.

The Itchy and Scratchy Land trip is a fictitious vacation spot that was worth mentioning.
Though that episode they went to the beach house and Lisa reinvents herself to make friends is great.

That is a good number 1, but I'm surprised to not see Kamp Krusty on the list at all.

They forgot the EPCOT episode.  It's a real place.

Those episodes only involve the kids going on trips. Ergo, are not valid for a list of best family vacations.

When I saw the Simpsons Movie, my takeaway was "This is essentially a 90-minute episode, hitting all the key points:  'Homer's stupidity causes a crisis? Check.'  ;Marge considers leaving Homer? Check.'  'The family travels somewhere so they can make jokes about it because it's easy to draw it that way? Check.'"

God help me, are there some watchable episodes to be found amongst the later seasons?

My family and I went to Universal Studios last week and visited the Springfield section. My 11-year-old daughter and I are big fans.

In the gift shop, they had Kwik-E-Mart nametags with the name "Bort." I thought that was a nice touch.

TFA considered one where Homer moved with his job to farking work in India to be a "vacation episode."

/That one, "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bangalore," was the one that made me give up on being a regular viewer

Summer of 4 ft. 2 should be #1. So many great lines and gags.

Everything involving Milhouse was hilarious.
"You've got friends, you've got the dud right here. Stand up for yourself, Poindexter!"

Homer blowing up the kitchen with the fireworks, then walking away whistling nonchalantly.

By that logic, the family's move to Cypress Cove so that Homer could go to work for Hank Scorpio should be a "vacation episode."

And if Bart going to France alone constitutes a vacation episode, why doesn't Bart and Lisa going to Duff Gardens with Aunt Selma count?

Bart in France was one of the top episodes in the list, my dude.

Worst. Comic book guy. Ever.

Yeah, that was about the same time I gave up, too.

One of my all-time favorite Simpsons lines is the clerk "Celebrate the birth of your country by blowing up a small part of it." And all the stuff Homer buys to try and play it cool while buying fireworks. And Marge's reaction.

Eh, I'm just gonna go watch it.
