Don't die, Mr. Bush.

We don't want to hear what Trump will say at your funeral.

Good luck to the ol' ass grabber!

Maybe not....but you know he'll say something. Or Twit it, which is even worse.

Well at the rate he's been in and out of hospitals he is not long for this world.  He's going to end up catching something at the hospital and dying -  pneumonia or MRSA. So, if he doesn't want Moron Don at his funeral maybe he could make some phone calls to his old friends in government and light some fires

Pretty sure the Bush family wouldn't want him there. Would you?

Yeah, Bush the Greater isn't going to last for much longer.

Given how Trump trash talked G.W. Bush, and repeatedly pulled his schoolyard bully routine on Jeb in 2016, I'm wondering if he wouldn't be banned from attending G. H. W. Bush's funeral.  In much the same fashion as Senator McCain has barred his attendance at his funeral.

I wish he would. Just hurry up and get it over with. CIA spook and collaborator against America's most laudable (theoretical) virtues.

I hope he does attend, and reaches across W's body to place his hand on JEB!'s thigh to comfort him, just like he did with his wife and Pence at that preacher's funeral.

I would enjoy that very, very much.

I'm guessing he's probably ready to hang it up instead of being in and out of hospitals and after already losing his wife. He probably passes this week, my money is on Tuesday morning.

According to Bush spokespers, Jim McGrath, the Mr. Bush was taken to Southern Maine Healh Care after experiencing "low blood pressure and fatigue."

*twitches*

I can remember when reporters and their editors took things like "style" and "proofreading" seriously.

Even aged widows can outlive their husbands by years or even decades. Aged widowers rarely last even one year.

Unfortunately the friends he has in government are going to be the okay with treason types after the whole Iran-Contra and coverup bit.

I might not express myself in exactly this manner, but yeah, I'm not a fan. We call him Bush the Greater only because the bar is low. I wish him no particular ill will and I will certainly not celebrate his passing when the time comes, but...meh.

I don't think it's ever been a real issue before.  First there's never been as big of an asshole in office as there is now.  And second, There have never been as many living ex presidents as there are now (I assume). They're kind of piling up. We have a glut of living presidents/ex-presidents.

I don't ever really celebrate anyone's death, not even when they were horrible people. Maybe especially not when they're horrible people - I believe in redemption and the power to improve one's self, but death takes away that chance. So no, I will not celebrate Trump's death, but I will certainly celebrate his early retirement from his current position, as achieved by any means necessary.

Would the Bushes invite him? I know it's customary for the current POTUS to attend the funerals of former POTUSes, but is it a requirement?

I'm sure Melania would be happy to go. The first time anyone has seen her smile is at Mrs. Bush's funeral.

Trump would never willingly attend anything that wasn't about himself.  If he attended a funeral, he would probably just sit there, miserable, wishing that it was all about him.  Seventy percent of everyone in attendance or watching TV would also be wishing the funeral was about him.

Accidental drone strike on a funeral is usually a bad thing, but his might actually do the world some good.
Met him once when I was 12 or 13 and got a signed picture with him that said "Good Luck" followed by his signature.  When I look at the pic now I think, Thanks a lot a-hole.  If I was aware of his crimes then I might have kicked him in balls.

So far, two prominent people (Barbara Bush and John McCain have not wanted the president at their funerals.  That's something that would usually be considered an honor.

Just wow.

But I didn't think Bush Sr. Would live very long after Barbara passed.  When people are together as long as they were,, their deaths are often close.  I hope he doesn't suffer too much.
