That's funny, but how often does talisman like this work?

And may the lottery gods bestow their blessing upon the Kings.  I mean, they won't - good things never happen to them - but I have another hour or so of daydreaming about Luka Doncic wearing purple & black (& whatever the heck those third jerseys are)

Also, this made me lol a bit:

The great part about being a Kings fan is that I could wear the lottery shirt every year.

This must be one of those "great timing there, mods" greenlights I'm guessing.

IIRC it was during halftime of a playoff game though I don't really remember but anyways it was the ping pong ball thingy for the 1993 NBA Draft. The Magic got #1 for the second year in a row and I called my buddy up and he was watching too, about to call me. His dad was yelling at him about something and not to pick it up but my buddy said he knew exactly who it was, pretty cool moment even though I'm not a Magic fan.

/buddy was a Bulls fan

Well, I can keep daydreaming about Luka playing the 3 in purple and black, because holy fark, good things happened to the Sacramento Kings.  Unbelievable.  I am still waiting to wake up from this...

I am also ok with Ayton, who I am pretty sure is a 3D printed basketball cyborg.  I'm not entirely thrilled with his defensive effort in college but the physical tools are clearly there but college schemes are all over the place in terms of how well they exploit players' strengths.

In Central Florida, there's at least one other known instance of it working.

That was the draft which caused the NBA to start endlessly tinkering with the lottery odds. They were upset that the Magic were able to get it 2 years in a row, especially since they had the lowest chance to get it in 1993. It was like they didn't understand the whole point of the lottery system they themselves put into place.

The ironic thing here is that Penny, their supposed lucky lottery charm, wasn't actually their pick.

/they should've just kept Webber
//Shaq and Webber would have been one of the craziest matchup nightmares ever
///at least they weren't totally moronic like the 76ers that year

Hey, when your name is the "76ers" and you have the opportunity to draft a 7'6" guy, you take it, consequences be damned.
