Break the arsonist on the wheel.

Investigate the allegations.

Keep the wheel handy in case the allegations are true.

fusillade762:

Osceola County jail records obtained by Law&Crime show that Port-Sierra remains locked up on no bond as of Monday afternoon. Charges include four counts of attempted first-degree murder, two accounts of battery with a deadly weapon, attempted arson, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His trial date has been set for July 2.

Huh. I don't suppose this is the kind of place where former convicted sex criminals shack up because Megan's Law leaves them no place to go...

Probably, and random arson attacks are probably a good reason not to live in such places if you have a choice.

One of the many reasons why Megan's Law is a really bad idea.

That's what I came to say.
TFA says that nobody died. TFA says they were charged with premeditated murder.
One of these two are wrong.

Well, the allegations are accompanied by four of the people having records of sexual assault. Of course, that doesn't mean kiddie diddlers, it means they were convicted or plead guilty/no contest to various sexual crimes.

It is an inappropriate way do deal with a perceived problem. Although the solution of locking them away in a remote motel they pay for seems a valid means. I don't know how things have been going in Florida, but more and more fleabag motels around Dallas have been razed, leaving the residents with few options other than camping out under freeways.

According to other articles on this he didn't successfully kill anyone, which is why he's only being charged with attempted murder.

TFA: "When asked by deputies why he did not carry out his threats, Porto-Sierra said, "You got here too soon.""

Appreciate his honesty.

No, according to this shiatpile of "journalism," there were four victims. Two of them had records for child abuse.

It's so poorly written it's hard to figure out what happened, especially when they add in the but at the end, "When asked by deputies why he did not carry out his threats, Porto-Sierra said, 'You got here too soon.'"

I'm assuming that's in reference to the car has was threatening to torch.

That is one of the most poorly written articles that I have ever read. I thought they had editors to tell the morons when they screw up. I hope that if there were child molesters, they were arrested along with the bbqer. If they are alive.

You don't have to say "alleged" after they've been convicted.

2018-05-08 03:55:53 AM
It sound more like pre-premeditated murder.

Not anymore.  Editors are a dying breed, first to go in this brave new age of clickbait journalism.

Would also have accepted "premeditated pre-murder."
