I can appreciate the T&A.
South Korea has quite a number of babes.

I expect Kim to give up nuclear weapons at most only in proportion to those that other nuclear powers give up. So... good luck with that.

Thank you, President Trump. It's nice to see a President who can actually do something about North Korea.

No clue what, if anything, will come of the meeting.  But still a historic event.

The real burning question is if KJU is down with OPP.

Wow.  Sometimes people grow up, however slightly.  Borders don't exist except in the minds of humans.  I remember crossing the border in Berlin as an American teenager, furious at the petty injustices, intimidation and threats of the border police and the Soviets backing them up. Did we just witness Un's mind opening a tiny bit?

I'm hoping three things:
1. The hard blockade of fuels into Best Korea made them realize after a few days of fighting, their army would have to run everywhere to engage in combat.
2. The recent earthquake that destroyed their nuclear testing facility means their nuclear program is all but toast.
3. I'm guessing there are several other factors, including espionage, sabotage, rioting, rebellion, starvation, medical issues, etc..

I will give Trump some credit, in his own stupid clumsy way, as much as it pains me. The pressure on Korea probably did push Kim to this point.

He doesn't have to. Redcaps are already giving their Great Leader the credit.

Fatboy Kim, meanwhile, was quoted by Bloomberg as having been filled with emotion after walking the 200 meters from his limo to the demarcation line. More likely it was his heart going into overdrive to haul his carcass that far.

Pomp and circumstance signifying nothing at all.

Yep! T_D is already assuming full credit. "What Obama couldn't do in 8 years, Trump does in 1" unless something goes south in the 11th hour I'm thinking Trump will walk away with another notch on his belt.

Sure, he deserves credit, in the same way Reagan deserves credit for ending the USSR. That is to say, virtually none. Reagan made some speeches while the Soviet empire was crumbling due to losing control of client states through incompetence, with a generous dash of failures like Chernobyl. Hell, Mathias Rust probably did more to bring down the USSR than Reagan did.

Trump gets as much credit for NK as Bush I gets for the Berlin Wall coming down. It happened when he was president, and that's it.

Pressure? Losing a twitter feud is not pressure.

If some sort of actual sea-change occurs between Best and Worst Korea (mutually beneficial to both nations), it would take the ANY DAY NOW to hurt Trump for 2020. It's a big deal.

What point? All they have done is agreed to suspend nuclear tests. Which they are currently unable to conduct anyway. I fail to see NK has given up or agreed to anything at all.

The US has given them what they wanted though, full diplomatic relations. In exchange for nothing.

It's even worse than that.  Meanwhile DJT is giving Iran a hard time.  NK achieves their objectives by being the international bad boy, and Iran gets screwed for cutting a deal.  The art of the deal indeed.

Okay kiddies! Put your tinfoil hats on. I'm going to lay so much truth down that you'd swear I was a 9/11 truther. Fact is, your government loves lying to you. You know why? It's because there is no profit in being honest. I realize that some colorful speakers among our founding fathers seemed to spread the idea that being honest was beneficial. Turns out- not so much.

This is how Trump solved the North Korea problem.... he didn't. He didn't solve it because it was never a problem to begin with. You see, America wanted Korea to be on it's side (It's side meaning Japan) where as China wanted Korea to be weak and unstable (thats how they like all their neighbors to be). Remember that one time when they let their neighbor get too power? I think it was.... The Mongol empire. Remember that? Remember that other time when they let Imperial Japan get too powerful? Turns out- letting your neighbors get too powerful is bad for business.

So we had two competing superpowers, running two halves of a country the size of Delaware. What happened? War. Truman put a stop to it. Truman had a chat with China and China said "Listen we just want them to be weak and divided. And you just want Japan to have a good fishing neighbor that won't cause problems for your friends. Lets carve this sucker up."

And so it was.... for about 50 years. And everyone was happy. America and Japan got south korea, which we made fantastic use out of. China got North Korea- who did EVERYTHING they said and even let China do illegal nuclear testing there (under the NK flag no less).

But Trump didn't understand this. Trump isn't a corporate shill who takes phone calls from citigroup and the Council on Foreign Affairs. Trump calls up China and says "HEY BUDDY! I don't like your trade practices! We're going to start putting tarrifs on everything you ship!" and China replied "OH YEAH!? Well if you do that they we'll tell North Korea to make peace with South Korea and work towards unification!!!"

Trump doesn't understand why that is a bad thing. So he really didn't get why China was threatening to do that. He put out those tarifs and next thing you know KJU is in South Korea talking about peace and reunification and opening up the borders and stuff. And here we are.
