Shut up!

I wonder which the actors find more exhausting: filming the movie or the publicity tour. Those guys have been EVERYWHERE this week.

Wow, the Tonight Show has been pimping this movie all week. I'm pretty sure everyone knows about it by now.

Hell, I enjoyed that, and I don't even like the MCU.  Although Loki...

For the money they will be making off this movie I'd be everywhere too. Up to and including buttsex.

That.

Robert Downey, Jr., apparently will make $200 million for the two upcoming films. How will the rest of the cast make out? So far, no one has come close. On November 9, 2015, the International Business Times reported that Robert Downey Jr, earned $40m for reprising his role of Tony Stark aka Iron Man for the fifth time on the big screen, while Johansson got $20m for her portrayal of Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow.

Chris Evans (Steve Rogers aka Captain America) was next in line earning much less than the previous two with $6.9m, while Jeremy Renner, not far off, walked away with $6.1m for his involvement as Clint Barton/Hawkeye. Thor actor Chris Hemsworth earned the second-lowest amount, $5.4m, leaving Mark Ruffalo in sixth position earning $2.8m.

But the very next day, Variety learned that Johansson earns roughly the same compensation from The Avengers series as her male co-stars Chris Evans (who plays Captain America) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor). Previous reports suggested Johansson received more than twice the salary of Hemsworth and Evans for Avengers: Age of Ultron. But those statistics were not accurate, sources added.

For Avengers Assemble, Business Insider reported that Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson both earned $4 to 6 million. Robert Downey, Jr., got a whopping $50 million after his negotiations with Marvel in the wake of the success of Iron Man. And via The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and Mark Ruffalo took home $2 to 3 million each.

Why does Chris Evans look like he's bucking to play a young J. Jonah Jameson?

The most exhausting thing they do is sleep on a pile of money surrounded by beautiful women. I'd hate to be them.

Especially Bettany. He has to share his bed of money with Jennifer Connelly.

Well they'll all get to relax in the bed of their dump truck full of money when the tour's done.

In fairness, it's not like anybody would have heard about this little independent sleeper hit without the cast slogging through all these appearances.

Every generation needs an Empire Strikes Back.

Isn't this what we were all expecting to happen?

Holy fark, just saw the movie.

DC can't compete with this. There's no way. Movie was incredible, in every sense of the word. I'd daresay it's this generation's Star Wars.

Yes, and that fact makes it all the more incredible. My theater was packed last night at 1030; I expected to miss lots of dialog and details due to the audience reactions.

Nah. Everyone was damn near silent, riveted, jaws on the floor. Not since "The Matrix" have I gotten up out of a theater seat and immediately made plans to go again.

I showed up with my oldest to the theater about an hour and 10 minutes early, and even then I thought that was too early, because we live in the middle of nowhere Tennessee north of Nashville. Even Star Wars movies are sort of walk-in, grab a seat, on opening day at the theater we go to. Figured we'd go and pickup our tickets for everyone and let my wife come meet us when she was ready.

But damn. We were there five minutes and they were already letting people in to the 7:40 show we were going to see, and this was at 6:30. The lady in front of me said that people for the 7:00 show were starting to line up at 3 PM, and the line was out the door of the building. I've never seen that here.

Those numbers are interesting because if I had to guess, I would say that RDJ probably has the least raw physicality of prep and training for filming these. He needs to be in some shape, yes, but his role in fight scenes is limited. His super abilities come out in the form of a CGI suit.

He's still the best actor and best character in the series. When he goes I don't think I'll be interested anymore. They're sort of preparing for that by making some of the other characters try to replicate his snarkiness.

Remember when the Star Wars movie came out and the mods threatened to ban with a chainsaw anyone who spoke a word of it?

Neiotehr have I.

Which just goes to show how ridiculously heavy-handed the mods were over Star Wars.

Until I see it, I plan to avoid the Geek and Entertainment tabs, anything not recorded before April 1st, Facebook, and any Google searches that might turn up results that may link to TMZ, etc.

Basically, I'm going to be torrenting porn and watching old Netflix offerings.

Honestly, I hate two-parters / cliffhangers; if I had my druthers, I'd wait the year and watch them both back to back.

That's what I'm thinking about doing: waiting until next year and watching them back-to-back.

If you need a link for torrenting and such, here's a good one.

He and Cheadle are the two oldest actors among the main heroes (both are 53 years old), if I'm not mistaken. Everyone else is a good decade or more younger than those two. So I can see Marvel Studios not being quite so demanding of the guys over 50.

I hate unnecessary ones but if there's enough story to tell, what's the problem? Especially since it'll only be one year until the final one.

The whole trend started after Revenge of the Sith, Lucas could probably kick himself.

Mark Ruffalo has to be at least 50 but he obviously doesn't have a lot of physical stuff to do as Banner.

Yea... My friends and I said we should have just waited till next year and seen both at once.

It was not well structured for the way they ended it. Empire Strikes Back ended with everybody escaping the clutches of Vader except Han who was shipped off to Jabba.

Infinity War just hit a huge downbeat and stopped.

Cheadle looked a lot older this time around.  His hair was really grey, and his face seemed gaunt.

The Little Sebastian song is still Chris Pratt's best vocals.
