Tim Tebow 2013 NFL season ruined by New York Jets

Tim Tebow will no longer be Tebowing with the New York Jets in 2013 as he was waived by the NFL football team on Monday.

General manager John Idzik and coach Rex Ryan told Tebow at the Jets facility on Monday morning that they were pulling the plug. If Tebow is not picked up off waivers, the Jets will have to pay him $1.5 million, due to terms of their trade with the Denver Broncos last years. The Jets will be able to free up about $1 million in salary cap space by cutting Tebow.

Tebow had a less than stellar 2012 season with the Jets. He only threw for 39 yards on six completed passes and rushed for 102 yards on 32 carries. He scored zero touchdowns. His most memorable moment as a Jet was probably his shirtless run through the rain at practice last July.

Most NFL teams aren't looking for another quarterback, but maybe Tebow can catch a break at San Diego with Manti Te'o and his girlfriend. There's always the Canadian Football League, eh? Wait, they have a football league in Canada?
