The Midwest gets no love, as Farkers tend to flock to either coast. :( Saint Louis Fark Party, June 1 - Get drunk and climb on stuff The party itself I'd like to have at the City Museum in Saint Louis, dubbed a "playground for adults", where you can get drunk and climb on and in all kinds of shiat (for a better glimpse, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Whf1SR7ZAxc). It's the kind of place that would be perfect for a bunch of Farkers. General admission on the weekends is $10 after 5 pm. For those of you that want to hang out for the weekend, Saint Louis has a ton of great stuff to do in the summer. Aside from the Arch (you can ride up to the top!), there is a great park called Forest Park, that is home to many museums and an awesome freakin' zoo, all free to the public. There is a beautiful Botanical Gardens as well, that is lovely to walk around in. We could even have a picnic in the park, if anyone was interested. There are lots of bars and a great foodie scene, as well. If any events during that weekend come up, I'll post them here as well. :) If anyone wants to organize specific outings as a group, just post and we can use this thread for planning. City Museum is awesome! When we took the kids there though, I couldn't get big red letters of "DEATH TRAP!" from flashing in my mind's eye, but it was a lot of fun.

I used to work in that building when it was part of the Direct Mail Corporation of America. Fun fact: The giant Praying Mantis used to worked in HR. If you got a letter saying you've been approved for a 10% pay raise and all you had to do was swing by HR to sign do some papers, don't do it. It was a trap.

But the City Museum? I've only been there a handful of times, but every time I did it was children climbing on everything. Seems like it'd be weird for a bunch of drunk farkers to show up for the ~~museum~~ playground.

I LOVE the City Museum! I'm based in San Francisco, but we have always gone to STL annually to visit my mom's family, and each time we hit up the City Museum. You leave in great pain and covered in bruises, but it's so worth it. I even tinkered with holding a destination wedding there.

CSB: I was very drunk there a few years ago, when climbing through some mesh tube about 50 feet up, my wallet fell from my back pocket and into the massive ball pit below. It had lots of cash and my ID, which I needed to catch my flight the next day. So I staggered down and drunkenly yelled into the ball pit to all the kids, "whoever finds my wallet gets $20." About a dozen kids started diving through the pit, until one found it. Some of my cards had fallen out during the experience, and he dove back in and retrieved every one of them. Earned his $20.

After 5 pm on weekends, minors require adult supervision.
