I would pay to watch Bob Odenkirk read the phone book, so I'm in

/kids, ask your grandparents what a phone book was

Is Bob willing to go through the rigorous training that Keanu did to prepare for John Wick?

I'm sure nobody thought that half of Mr. Show, that made mostly dick and fart jokes, could be a damn good dramatic actor either.

Fark yes, I would pay to watch that. There is a brief description in the article and if the script is good Bob could be a great fit. If David Cross could somehow be in it or make a cameo...

He was one of the finalists to play Michael Scott on 'The Office' before Steve Carell got it. I wonder where he'd be now if he did get it. Probably not anywhere near Breaking Bad.

Actually, I'd like to see a Mads Mikkelsen version of John Wick :D.

Adding: go back 40 years, and tell people watching "Laverne and Shirley" that the big gawky guy Lenny will become a dramatic award magnet.

From what I heard from reviews, he holds his own against Hanks and Streep in The Post.

I can't think of a relevant Mr. Show clip to post here yet, hoping Fark doesn't let me down.  He has my extreme loyalty since the 90s, I will pay to see this as soon as possible

It is surprising that Keaneau appears to be one of the coolest people around, after all of of those bad money-grab movies.

I've read some really good things about Keanu Reeves in the past few months.
Seems he takes food from on site shoots to homeless people, has helped many strangers, and some things I'm not recalling right now.
But Google him, I'm sure you'll see.

Yes, everything you read about Reeves is that he is a genuine humble person that gives and helps whenever possible. We need ALOT more people like him in the world.

Nah, he has a realistic view on exactly how much talent he has and chooses his roles accordingly. He's not a bad actor, but he isn't going to win prestigious awards either, so he picks some fun, middle of the road projects where he gets to have an awesome time with really awesome actors who are enjoying doing a fun action movie.

It's the kind of workman-like acting that created stars like John Wayne back during the studio days.

That was a show ahead of its time. I was barely a teenager when that came out and it's how I bonded with my uncle who I am still good friends with

My friend and I have running Grady's Oats jokes, among other things from that show. Die Hard 12, Legends of Springsteen. That comedy show was definitely very well done.

It'll be written by John Wick scribe Derek Kolstad so we're expecting fast paced action, ridiculous set-pieces and the possibility of a sequel.

And I'm expecting every single bad guy to be shot in the head.

As a rule, I think it's bad form to label anything with a reference from *after* the thing was made.

I thought the same thing. If he does the homework and makes it look good (also, has good effects, sound, etc) I'll think it's great. If he doesn't, I'll be sad.

The first movie worked so well because an orgy of outrageous violence is the only possible response to some goon killing the dog that your dead cancer wife left you.
